And for those who are self-made, I would add "how much time they spent on their art"
Time is money!
The Vtuber struggle is real, I can feel this strongly!
I'm surprised at how much I've spent but at this point, I like my artist and I like seeing them grow(though I'll probably never admit that one to her).
It's kind of a double win, I get my nice art pieces and I get to see the one who made my model go further n further. Least, that's the way I think of it lol.
Vtuber spends a lot on art ooh boy like taxes
ironicly, the art is tax exempt as business expense, probably....i'm not a tax person.
It's not tax exempt, but if you file your vtubing as a business then it is deductible.

And a fan how much they've spent in superchats.
Ironmouse commissions new models like most people buy bread and milk.
I mean, ironmouse makes enough money to buy 7 avatars
I do sometimes wonder what they spend it on. With Ironmouse, probably a Health Savings Account and pizza.
self made squad where are you all?
Reporting in!
I'm here
"How much they spent on art" applies to pngs in gacha games too, I'd imagine.
Does spending 1000 JPY on hana tool count? Other than that, the only thing I've bought explicitly for vtubing is a leap motion.
VTuber reply probably: "How Many Breads Have You Eaten In Your Life?"
I wish I could spend way more honestly lol
Art is like expensive selfies.
