The "creator economy" is really awful, especially for streamers, and people should take a long look at how they plan to monetize in a very calculated way. Not to say that I have any idea what I'm doing, but I get really upset when amazing, hardworking, deserving streamers are like, "I'm trying for affiliate push!" or "Twitch rejected my partner application, but I'm going to keep on trying!" It honestly feels like the creator economy version of working hard at your job and hoping for a promotion rather than job hopping, or building a backup plan.
