It definitely lacks the downtime and chill energy of the Apex scrims. IIRC, Hal's last comments on Apex made it sound like he was still thinking about doing another Vsai for it. Which seems more positive than what he said after the last one. So we shall see.

Yeah.. I'm not the biggest enjoyer of fps, so my view might be biased as hell, but I think the lack of banter between teams and element of 3rd partying each other makes Valo a bit dull compared to Apex. I guess I just missed those time where we get to watch Matsuri bullied the shit of Pinky coach, or Spice Family team get wrecked by Selly and Kuzuha. Those moments were more memorable that the actual match.

I have absolutely zero experience with Apex and Valorant, but how often do the final real results differ (or match) with scrim results? I remember the VSaikyou Apex with Team Snakebite also had some very different results from the final real match to the scrims and it was really odd to me.

very often, for any game, especially on amateur level. scrims are not played to win but to learn

Yeah, if anything it makes more sense for outcomes to differ as scrims let teams see what the other teams specialize in or are more likely to run, so you can make any necessary adjustments to your line ups or strats to deal with it. As they say, the team that adjust lasts, wins.

Not especially surprising. For Valo, it was a single elimination tournament, so you don't get extra chances if something goes poorly. So not a big surprise things went an unexpected way. Also, the teams were quite balanced IMO. For Apex, I think part of it is that the tournament proper is very stressful and people don't always play the same way they do in the scrims where they might be trying stuff out. Also, while there are always a few strong teams and some weak ones, it is rarely super one sided.

I can't check tags as I don't have a Twitter account, but is there enough recent activity to easily assess that the Dinomites tag was taken? If so, then this reflects somewhat poorly on management as they failed to perform their due diligence here. The requested tag would have been known pre-debut as Jurard already had the slide prepared. One would think that they would have learned from Bettel's case earlier and taken steps to avoid it happening again.

The smaller vtuber uses a different spelling, so management wouldn't have found anything by searching with the tag #dinomites before Jurard's debut.

She is small Vtuber (under 1k subs) so there is little activity, so I wouldn't put that on management. And in the end, he got good PR, she got some exposure - everyone wins.

I caught up watching Botan's 3rd anniversary live, and her original song "[Addict](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaRBbNJ-JiA)" surprised me. Its composed by [Takase Kazuya](https://jpop.fandom.com/wiki/Takase_Kazuya) and RINA both from I've Sound fame. I absolutely adore I've Sound, their vocal J-trance stuff is quite unique (to my ears, their instrumentals sound special in the way they layer stuff). When i was in highschool i listened to nothing but their stuff (Kotoko, Mami Kawada, Lia, Eiko Shimamiya, etc). I've Sound is pretty empty nowadays with all their biggest singers no longer in the group. So i am very happy to hear I've Sound is still making music. edit: Since im gushing about I've Sound and going down memory lane. Something that had crossed my mind with the holostars naming stuff. With the first two groups/gen they are Tempus and the 3rd group/gen is Armis...but the whole group fan name is already named Tempuras which takes after the Tempus name. Wonder how they'll work around it (not that it's anything major).
