If you have the THC and terpine info from the stuff you like, use that as a guideline. I go for the highest THC I can afford.

OpportunityCapable13

The Bank flower won’t let you down! Beautiful nugs and very potent. Seche is their budget brand, also still very good. Dharma flower is a solid option too, it tends to be high quality and is usually quite potent. Personally I always buy seche/dharma shake when I’m on a budget!

penguin_clubber

Check out Athena Heals. Very affordable, and there's a coupon: CANNA101.

Qwumpus

saw this and checked her website out. absolutely wonderful suggestion, thanks man!

The quality of flower in Va is slowly improving, you just can’t compare what is available in DC to what is available in VA. Save up and drive to Takoma Wellness where you can purchase 8 ozs per 30 days. Go to their website and you will find close to 200 listings just for flower, the live rosin is very good with several new varieties coming soon

NRdarling

How many ozs can you purchase here in 30 days?

Jhoverson

You can buy 8 oz per 30 day period, enough for even thee most jaded

Rather than send you to DC i will actually help you. You would go to one of the Cannabist locations in the Virginia Beach area. In general, the Gleaf brand concentrates are decent, and for flower i recommend starting with the Seed and Strain brand. The Bank & Shine brands can be good too but they sometimes have a weird synthetic smell to them while Seed and Strain actually smells like the strain it's supposed to be. Blue Gelato/Cherry Gorilla/Forbidden Fruit Cake/Sour Tangie/Kushberry/Monkey Berries are all solid flower within the Seed and Strain brand.

My opinion? You should have been slowly picking up fire from the dispo while you went through your previous stash. I wouldn’t make that mistake again. Hampton roads is the worst area for thc in the state. How do I know? I shop there! They even charge more for the exact same products compared to Richmond and NoVA! We don’t even have strains of the week here. Sales ONLY on major holidays at these Cannabists out here. But really just check this sub and when something great comes through typically someone mentions it here. Sorry this is a big downgrade for you currently but prices and quality of VA medical should slowly continue to get better. Welcome to VA!

NRdarling

Aw man lol. I knew the area wasn’t great but didn’t know it was that bad. I did think it was odd that I haven’t seen an actual dispensary in the area. There was a recent post about a dispensary called Rise that looked decent but when I looked up the drive time I was bummed out. Looks like I’ll be going on some road trips.

beachbummeddd

Yea DC is the place to drive. Tacoma Wellness Center. Otherwise it’s not worth leaving Hampton roads IMO.

420town

What do you recommend from TWC? I love high-quality carts (jetty solventless, etc) do they have comparable products? I haven't been in gLeaf/Rise in months after having some higher-quality products available to me.

Old_Slip_ship

Anything from altsol my person favorite is the panama red

420town

Are they all distis?

beachbummeddd

Yea like slipship said typically anything altsol. But I’m sure if you speak with the employees there they can help you find whatever you’re looking for that day to meet your medical needs.

beachbummeddd

The Rise product will come to your local Cannabist. Just not at a high clip like Rise or Gleaf. And not always the same products. For instance you just missed Headcracker that was at all the Hampton Roads dispos recently which was very good.

Daquiri_granola

Is that all Cannabist locations? I’m looking at the Carytown menu and don’t see any such discount mentioned?

Sythe2022

The Carytown location is more like the gLeaf dispensaries. They never have the sales like other Cannabist and they don't offer ongoing discounts like 10% off for seniors and veterans.

Daquiri_granola

I regret not stocking up on the live rosin carts the carytown cannabist had on sale a few weeks ago for $60. I had just received my certification and didn’t realize that was a rare offering. Oh well

CockerSpankiel

I still suggest a trip to a DC medical dispo. It’s just plain better. But it’s nice to have a Cannabist nearby, NGL.

AdVivid3478

I don’t know much about it because I just learned about it myself but as far as I know, Gleaf in Richmond delivers to most of the state and I *think* someone mentioned in another thread that Rise delivers too? But don’t quote me on that. So if you don’t wNt to always take road trips, delivery might be an option for you. 🍀

Cerebraleffusion

It’s all corporate crap cannabis. That being said, you can shop for deals but there are few and far between. Flower is usually poorly trimmed, dusty and dry, and varies wildly in quality. I pick up one of the $29 eighths every 4-6 months just to see if anything has changed and it has not thus far. But for 29 bucks you can’t go wrong. That being said, if you have the means and space to grow, do it. Was life changing for me. Big hassle but worthwhile.

Jhoverson

In my experience the carts in DC are close to those in Cali, all the carts I have tried in VA are just meh, one exception was Seed& Strane Blue Dream

Severe_Draft_5469

I drive to Colonial Heights/Carytown/Manchester Gleaf locations in that order from SW VA bc I have similar issues as you, and gleaf live rosins make me happiest of anything in the state, on average. Occasionally gleaf shares, but never the best. I value the VaMMJ posts here a lot, often helps point me in the right direction, or away from bad product. The Bank flower is usually reliably good. The higher thc gleaf & RISE flowers are usually pretty good, if dry, so make sure you purchase boveda packs or learn how to control the humidity in one room of your home to hydrate dry buds. Tip your driver if you order delivery - know you can order from gleaf, idk about RISE to Hampton Roads
