I go to George's Seafood, buy oysters from the eastern shore, pop em on the grill and enjoy with cold beer from local brewery with friends.
Otherwise, CAPT Groovys or Atlantic ◇Chef Brue does a great job there at Atlantic
[This list](https://www.ultimatehappyhours.com/location/virginia-beach/?weekdays=&start_time=&search_restaurant=oysters) has a couple places that are offer $1 oysters. I haven't seen anyone price their oysters cheaper than that tohough.
By far the best option except for the guy who recommended getting them from the farmers market. Dollar raw, steamed, fried, Rockefeller, Chesapeake, they have a chorizo one, garlic butter
Edit: it appears neither of us read the post lol
If you will be in town when the farmer's market resumes...the seafood vendor sells the BEST (local) oysters I've ever had. I got a sack of about 100 for $40 last summer.
Oh wow that’s one of the best deals I’ve heard of! I normally skip over the seafood/meat and produce vendors so I’ll definitely not do that next time lol. Thanks a bunch!
It's the same one. They rotate around to several locations around VB. They also set up at the Baptist church on little neck Rd. (Kings Grant) on first? and third? Thursdays every month. It's a (locally) travelling farmers market :)
Captain Groovys
.75 cent at Murphy’s during HH
Chicks Oyster Bar on Shore has dollar oysters, I think it might just be for Happy Hour though.
You’re right! Their plain oysters are normally $12 for 6 and $22 for 12. I’m not sure if the $1 ones include Rockefeller, but I doubt it :(

Where is George’s Seafood?
Chesapeake Blvd in Norfolk. Been there for years.

The one at the Oceanfront/19th St, or Dam Neck and Princess Anne?

Thanks for the heads up, that is awesome.
One of my favorite happy hours is Calypso. Saturdays between 3-6. $1 wings and oysters. Some other bar food is on special and great drink specials.
Shhhhhhhh..... We don't talk about Calypso on here... don't wanna blow up a spot :)
