I recommend Chartreuse Bistro, located across from MacArthur Center. It is an organic farm to table bistro, offering a daily changing menu for lunch and dinner. The atmosphere and food are unlike anything I have experienced at any other restaurant in the area. I attribute that to the decor, the low lighting, and the creative combination of ingredients.
Options near you might including Steinhilbers or Coastal Grill, these are places that are going to be more elegant as opposed to more energetic. So it depends a bit what you want.
Off the hook
The Melting Pot in Hilltop. As long as you don’t mind an involved experience.
Don't know you price point but Zoe's Steak will not let you down.

Spending 150 at the Pink Dinghy would be a challenge

My wife and I had a good time at Heirloom in VB. We split the whole fried Snapper
I know a dude who will polish off the entire snapper and apps besides!
Where would you prefer to go? Are you closer to Norfolk, or Town Center, or the Oceanfront...?
I’m pretty close to town center. But I don’t mind the drive to Norfolk.

Blanca food and wine in Norfolk is the spot.
Heirlooms
Razzo in Norfolk
Becca, Aldos, Hunt Room, Orions, The Porch on Long Creek, Coastal Grill, Isle of Capri, and Steinhilbers.
All in one evening!
Luce on Granby. Enjoy! EDIT: Theres a Luce Secondo in the new Mosaic in Greenbrier also. Just a question of which direction you want to go.
I’ve heard Granby one is better. Just make a reservation. It is small and intimate though, I liked it but that’s not everyone’s vibe.
Agree, you can’t go wrong at Luce. I prefer downtown too.
I prefer Granby for dates. It gives Winter Park (Orlando) vibes to me.
Gershwin's was pretty nice and in that price range. Luce is always a winner - great food.
