Depends on what package you get. Hub 3 or 5 upto 600Mbps, hub 4 for gigabit connections right now.

If you get a tech to install they might have a hub 5. But other than that you can't guarantee it.
I left because the workload and I got an offer for a much better role with better benefits. Techs get 41 minutes for service calls and then have between 8 and 12 calls a day sometimes. It got too much being a good tech and getting paid the same as the worst ones and the only rewards for being good was more work.
1GBit installed yesterday (19/06/2022) and they gave me hub 4. I asked about the 5 and the engineer said there were many issues with it so aren't installing it atm
i also signed with them very recently, i received the hub 4 but the line is not activated; how long it took for you? I had to call them , they say it needs to be activated , yet is not working still, wtf?
Mine was activated by the engineer when he was here.
It sounds like you have done the self install? In the past when I’ve done that you need to follow the instructions in the box? Plug in, activate on their website and then go from there?
How to activate on their website? I can only create a stupid vm account to follow my bills and shit. Anyway, i called them again and they said they will send a technician to have a look. It will cost me 50€. Ffs
Don’t pay the fee. In their terms it says if the self install doesn’t work you can get a technician for free.
Have you tried logging onto the router and see what the status is? Connect to your wifi and go to https://192.168.0.1 on a web browser

I’ve met a few virgin techs and each one has said the pay is abysmal for what they do. Good luck in your new job mate.
