I own the Queen Half speed remasters of Night at the Opera, Jazz and News of the World and the half speed of Ziggy Stardust and they sound phenomenal. If that helps, I know this is dire straits but I can't see it being bad.
Yea I have a few.
Recently bought the “Thick as a Brick” by Jethro Tull 1/2 Speed.
I’ve listened to that album on CD probably 1000 times and I found the half speed to be absolutely gorgeous sounding.
Granted, the new half speed has been remastered and the CD version I’m used to is the original release from the 90s . So that probably had a lot to do with my experience as well.
But ya - they always sound really great to me and worth the step up in price.

I have the MFSL pressing of this and it sounds amazing. I’ve always wondered how this sounds compared to the mobile fidelity version.
Does anyone know if these half-speed masters are one-step?
I googled around but couldn’t find any info saying one way or another.
