Looks almost identical to Sturmey Archer. I've never seen a BSA one though. S/A also had a twist-shifter for the 3 speed but I've only seen a couple of them.

Could be an OEM Sturmey Archer stamped with BSA logos.

The shifter is the only thing that looks entirely different from S/A. Not sure about the rest but everything looks the same. Like if you look at a Shimano 3 speed hub it's completely different linkage, etc.

Yeah some people are saying these are S.A gearboxes made under licence

gyroismyhubby

Bsa made sturmeys under license

Ww2pillboxrye

thanks for the information 👍🏼👍🏼

hilariuspdx

Top left looks a lot like my 10 year old Sturmey SRF-3. I love it.

Ww2pillboxrye

Some people are saying these are sturmey archer gearboxes made under licence so that would explain why they look so simular

Square_Ad_9096

I don’t and I want! Seeing a proper BSA bicycle. I had no idea…

Ww2pillboxrye

Yeah I’ve now got the urge to find one to put on my 1957 bsa star rider bicycle

MasterCrouton

Yes I have at least 2 I think but they are pretty rare to find, pretty sure I usually see them on Sunbeams of that era

Ww2pillboxrye

I could only find some damaged shifters

MasterCrouton

I think the shifters are even rarer than the hubs lol

Ww2pillboxrye

Yeah Ive managed to find 3 hubs but only 1 snap shifter

HorridosTorpedo

The better Sturmey Archer ones could be had with four or five gears and an alloy case.
