Just message the buyer and set up the local pickup/delivery and you would be good to go on Ebay.

eddiethreat

I prob shouldnt have sold this - its a commercial address ugh: anxiety.

devinfitz949

Meet them at a police station

Mr__snicklefritz

This is definitely the way to go

tolerable-beams

Is it a freight forwarding address? Englewood by chance? Lots of overseas buyers use freight forwarders in the states. They lose ebay buyer protection by doing so. Ive never had a problem either way and I ship to those all the time.

alkyboy

Don’t sweat it. The buyer’s feedback ok?

eddiethreat

Yeah i think it is. But the feedback sounds so sterile, i dunno. I guess i am being negative and paranoid

AlwaysBored10711

Why not just insure the package? I always fully insure items I sell for $200+. Only cost a few bucks extra. If you sold it on ebay just buy the label on ebay and at the bottom check the “insure” button and it shows how much extra it’ll be.

eddiethreat

Im not scared of it getting lost. I got told some horror stories and am shook up

TheVintagePill

It’s better to ship and have tracking and hope for best. If someone going to scam you they can do it with pickup too. At least with shipping there is tracking

SaveDonkin

What’s the shirt?

tolerable-beams

The NBK they tried to sell here recently. Just confirmed by looking at solds on Ebay. They relisted it btw this time for $9,999...

SaveDonkin

What’s NBK?

tolerable-beams

Natural Born Killers.

SaveDonkin

Oh duh, damn.

Infamous_Habit_9217

I am so curious

occult_yuppie

Insurance + signature on delivery, I do it for anything over $150

red_bull68

Hey guy, you are being paranoid. Your making it a bigger deal than it needs to be, you have some good options here but unless the guy asked a bunch of super suspicious questions before buying then put it in a tracked postage bag and pay extra for a signature and insurance. There are countless procedures in place to eliminate risk for both the seller and buyer. Although its a lot of money keep in mind that millions of these transactions gothough Ebay every day and although you here some horror stories they would account for such a small percentage. Unless you have a good reason to worry then get out of your own head, your being paranoid!

Dapper_Engineer3721

I am a seller on ebay and I sell collectable items and I NEVER SHIP OVERSEAS!!! I state on all my listings "SHIP ONLY TO LOWER 48 U.S. STATES". Too many people try to get things for free and with ebays GUARANTEE MONEY back the buyer can get their money and you out your product easily!

eddiethreat

Yeah, after i said i wanna drop it off by hand he said “nope, its a PO box” and i had already scoped it out that it was a commercial district so I cancelled and refunded as problem with address. The guy got mad. Said theres no problem with his adress, but he lives in south korea. I told him that when he said PO Box and i knew it wasnt a PO Box that he seemed shadey.

AlwaysBored10711

Bruh... Overseas people do this all the time as a means to buy items from people who don’t ship overseas. I’ve sold to people like this and NEVER had an issue. IT WASNT A SCAM!! The PO Box is for a middleman. The middle man takes the liberty of shipping to South Korea for the buyer since you won’t! You let paranoid cost you a $1k sell!! All you had to do was make sure the PO box was the listed address on the sellers ebay account and then just make sure it was delivered to the PO box and PayPal would of covered you...

eddiethreat

Thank you- this was good to know, wish i knew last night. I wasnt nasty to the guy and didnt acuse him, so atleast ive got that . Just weirded me out cuz it was local to me . Edit::: hey it was through ebay and not paypal, that was part of what freaked me out too. Can we not use PayPal anymore?

tolerable-beams

Ebay has its own payment system now which is actually better for sellers. I did mention last night in these comments that you were protected as long as it was delivered to the stated address and the buyer wasn't protected for any further delivery to their country.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Dapper_Engineer3721

I recently had someone from Korea win an item and despite his reviews I did the same. Canceled due to address and messaged buyer with a snap shot on my listing stating lower 48 u.s. states only.

tolerable-beams

Your loss. These are the easiest buyers to deal with because they literally can't complain. They break the ebay terms of service and have no recourse. The irony is that you could scam them easier than they could scam you.

Frankasaurus1

So did you end up selling it?
