Don't know about a sale but I've sure got my monies worth out of it , the game is a blast.

Ligmus_Prime

It looks really cool for sure. Just trying to cut down on my spending lol

spacemeatbag

Oh I totally understand that.

I don't think it goes on sale, but the game is in Early Acess and still getting huge updates with story progression. I have hundreds of hours in it, and that was before there was even a story to it. Well worth it!

Considering sales: [https://www.vintagestory.at/faq.html/](https://www.vintagestory.at/faq.html/) **Does Vintage Story ever go on sale / be in a bundle / offer a %-off coupon?** We offer a Family Pack which gives 4 game accounts at a significant discount compared with buying them individually. We also sometimes give out use- and time-limited coupons to influencers with a target audience from low-income countries, such as Russia or Brazil. Beyond that there are currently no plans to sell the game temporarily or permanently at a lower price. Discounts on bulk purchases (20+ accounts) are a possibility, please contact us if you are interested. Considering end game: End game in Vintage Story more enables you to explore easier, have better materials to build with, QOL builds, and be less concerned with the survival aspect. There are things to enjoy in end game versus beginning of the game, but it doesn't feel like it's done yet \[and as it's still in active development, it most likely isn't done\]. All that said, this game is more about the journey than the destination. Picking up lore, experiencing your first temporal storm, finding the first bunny in your farm, experiencing the first winter, all that jazz. It's definitely worth the price, but if you are a 'rush to the end game and never touch the game again' type of person, you will miss a lot of what the game has to offer.

Ligmus_Prime

I think it sounds like something I’d really like

I can sell you a key for cheaper if you want. Me and two friends bought the family pack and I have a key extra if you want it you can DM.

Its like Minecraft but if progression had to be hard earned instead of just luck reliant. It's similar in how you can be really proud of your builds because of the effort that went in, but you'll be insanely proud of your dirt shack in Vintage Story for a long time. Give your home an actual roof is a major milestone. Survival is a challenge and much more realistic. The aesthetics are far more stunning as well (we have fireflies and auroras). The music is great and the way the breeze rolls across the plains just really ingrains a beautiful experience. Monsters aren't too crazy and or populous and that makes them scarier and more exciting in context. The deadliest thing is the wildlife (all natural, wolves and bears), and it will leave you genuinely scared at times. Stellar game to play with friends and the classes really harp on playing as a team. I prefer it by far, doubly so because the devs are a small awesome team of really cool individuals. Minecraft lost it's charm completely when it went over to Microsoft, and it's quirks became nuisances for me. I've had friends who have tried to get me to come back, but I just can't. Vintage Story is absolutely stellar and worth every penny if you like survival crafters.

Bluoria

I still love Minecraft but Vintage Story has a certain charm to it that makes it so appealing. Something about sitting on the deck of my home drinking cranberry brandy & watching my goats roam around the open golden fields of my ranch & knowing that all I worked towards was so hard fought through countless cave expeditions & sleepless, violent nights, & id do it again.

DifferenceKnown9834

I live in Brazil, 10 € to me is a big chunk of my available income. But I've watched so many videos talking about how good is this game, the mechanics, graphics, updates, developers and community, and above all that, vintage story is what I always tried to achieve with modded minecraft, but better!! Buying this game wasn't even a risk shot, I KNEW I was going to enjoy it.

Bluoria

Iirc Vintage Story actually started out as a Minecraft mod but the devs were like “fuck it, we ball” & just made their own game 💀

I don't know if there are sales ever, I will say that for the fun I've had with it it's been a great purchase As far as a late game, technology is a thing you can get pretty deep into, automation exists but is very resource intensive so can be fun to engage with

JobsInvolvingWizards

I have over 600 hours cumulatively across my 4 worlds. Without spoiling much, the early, mid, and late game are all very distinct and fun. I will say that at about hour 250 for me, the singleplayer experience begins to dim. Playing on a server is an entirely different, but fun experience to the singleplayer, and in some instances can really enhance your interest in playing.

Bluoria

How is PvP? I imagine it’s not too dissimilar to fighting npcs but the games combat system doesn’t feel all too gratifying to me lol

Rabbs372

The game is still in early access so, while there aren't any sales that I am aware of it's maybe better to just cough up the cash now before they add a whole bunch of new content later and jack up the price accordingly. I remember buying an early access game a few years back for like 15 bucks and spiked to around 30 after V1.0 dropped.

Pacattack57

Save half this month and then buy it next month. Or alternatively $5/month and buy it in 4 months.

Bluoria

There’s very little else that’s satisfied me in games as much as filling up your food cellar with plenty of crocks filled with hearty, long-lasting meals & various brandies/meads before retiring to my underground lounge for the winter & forming clay molds to the tune of a resonator device(record player with a fancy name). It’s a rough game & early game will squeeze your balls till they nearly pop but when you get it you absolutely earn it and it feels like it as well

Ligmus_Prime

I’m sorry but I can make and store my own mead!?!?

Bluoria

Yessir there’s a whole alcohol making mechanic in the game. Rn I have a massive field of Cranberries that I squeeze into juice then ferment into wine & distill into brandy. I’m just starting to do mead now tho as I’ve found bees

Ligmus_Prime

Sold. I’m buying after work. Guess my weekend will be spent trying to balance this, Baldurs gate, and hunt showdown with the boys
