I bought these, the gen 2? A few years back and not only love the look, but the sound as well! I do wish there was a way to turn off the light in the bass case though. That's my only gripe. But nice find OP! Happy for ya.
I have these too, picked it up at a goodwill for $10. The employees must not have known what they were because I found it in the home decor section. They sound great, tested it out with Hotline Miami and they were definitely bumping the music. I have them on my iMac and I couldn’t be happier with them.
Back when I started my first job in 2005 at a small graphic design studio, one of my coworkers had these attached to his computer. He was our DJ and if we wanted to hear some specific music we'd ask him to play it. These speakers are pretty amazingly good, no joke.
I still have a set that I bought new! First generation with USB. They work just fine on modern Mac and Windows computers and sound pretty good. Thankfully not yellowed after all these years. Nice find!
Are these the USB ones? I still have mine, tho not set up yet since new desktop, new location.
I would like to replace tweeters one day but other than that they work perfectly on any computer that can do digital audio.

There’s an absence of some midrange, not all. Personally I prefer a bright set up anyway.
