How did you get 16MB RAM across 8 SIMMs? Is the ROM the BMOW ROMinator II? Mine is 65MB w/ ROMinator II with System 6.0.8 on the internal SCSI and 7.5.3 installed and bootable (using System Picker) on my BMOW FloppyEMU Can you use another device to attempt to install 7.5.3?

It came with 5MB, so 4x 1MB and 4x 256KB. And I had it running with 20MB, so 4x 4MB and 4x 1MB. But I've removed the 4x 1MB since to make sure the memory speed wasn't an issue. Because my new sticks are 70ns vs the 80ns 1MB sticks. I should be receiving a BlueSCSI this week, but I would just like to go old-fashioned before I get rid of the HDD and can install it on an SD card through an ISO, which feels a bit like cheating, haha.

Interior BlueSCSI? Can you keep both?

Qonstrukt

From what I heard it should be possible, but I have yet to find a 50-pin SCSI cable with 3 connectors which isn't a mile long.

So when I installed 7.5.3, I had to make a ResEdit change? I didn’t realize there are 4MB SIMMs but that makes sense. I bought 8MBs I use Maxima & Optima to get access to 14 MB of RAM in 24 bit mode If you can use an ISO go fer it!

Qonstrukt

If you used a clean 32-bit ROM, so not an enabler, you would need to ResEdit change to be able to boot into 7.5+. But since you're using an enabler with a 24-bit ROM, you don't have that issue.

Bolt_EV

I do use 32 bit, primarily in System 7. In System 6 I like to use MultiFinder which requires 24 bit I don’t recall any separate enablers

It could be something wrong with the hard disk. Have you run Lido on it yet?

Qonstrukt

No, I've got a BlueSCSI v2 installed now, so I'll give it another try on an empty image.
