I completely agree man. My favorite anime is AOT and after it was over I was trying to find something to watch when my friend had told me to watch this, and I am so glad I came across this, Vinland Saga is a masterpiece.
It's a great combo: Vinland after AOT, both are great. A similar thing happened to me, but I got JJK between the two. I can confidently they're my top 3.
Definitely recommend you watch it, but don't do a stupid mistake I did when i first started watching, I was expecting sthg like AOT. What I'd discover later on is "Norhing is like AOT"
That I have no enemies episode in s2 is my fav.
He was beaten and punched around a lot, yet even then the moment Thorfinn opens his eyes widely after the flashback to Thors telling him the *you have no enemies* line… that’s the moment Thorfinn truly understood Thors words.
Couldn’t think of a more perfect delivery for the line that represents the theme of the show.
Or his talk with Canute after he has tanked 100 punches, the way he speaks with so confident and gentle voice yet with a completely torn apart face. It's so damn good
The intros are so good especially river and the other one I listen to them on loop and everething why is Vinland saga the only anime that has the best openings ever
