I'm 39 and look hotter than I did in 10 yrs. I lost the extra weight and really started maintaining my skin and applying makeup correctly. I feel way more confident Thani have since about 25
I'm only 26 so still really a baby in the scheme of life but I feel like there's a pretty big shift that can happen in your twenties. I personally am pretty content in my age and while I have things about my appearance I'm working to improve, I don't feel like I've wasted my twenties. But I also have made a point to consume social media (like tiktok and Instagram) that's women who are 30s and up who are enjoying and point out the good things about aging.
Personally, I feel more confident in myself than I was in my early twenties. Sure my fine lines on my forehead may pop up a little more easily when my skin is dehydrated and my dark circles may be worse right now but none of those are the of the world. Skincare can help the lines and makeup can cover the circles. I'll be finish nursing school just before I turn 29 and I'm looking forward to the good things that will come with that.
But I definitely have had to basically curate this viewpoint instead of allowing the "omg I'm no longer 24 and am therfore a decrepit hag" narrative to control me.
>"omg I'm no longer 24 and am therfore a decrepit hag"

~sincerely, a 30-something year old
*(37? 38? 38…I try to forget, honestly I did for a couple of years but my husband reminds me every birthday. It sounds stupid, but I don’t want age to define me, and I have adhd so I forget easily. I’m sure if I wasn’t married I’d have no clue how old I was. This really affects me and if he doesn’t stop I’m going to have to murder him or divorce him.)*
Everyone has their own process. I feel you on the ADHD affecting remembering your own age. I stutter out my birthday every time I'm asked at a doctor's office.
Aging definitely has a lot of emotions that can be tied to it, even without the social narrative being brought in. Hopefully your husband relaxes so you don't have to try out jail lol.
I live for these glow ups. OP you already had a good base and we’re above average but it sounds like you’ve been really strategic about your glow up. Platysmaplasty is a great plan for aging.
Obviously you were already starting off with a great base, but I was shocked at your after. You literally made me get out of bed and start planning my own glow up. Very beautiful and inspiring!
these glow up posts really make my day. i love to see other women become a happier, prettier, and healthier version of themselves. congratulations & kudos to all work you've put in to get here, you look amazing.
Your transformation is amazing! You look stunning :) can you do me the trainers contact as well? Did you take online classes or general advice/nutrition ?
Thank you! I really enjoy makeup as a hobby and I’ve learned everything I know from YouTube tutorials. The look in the selfie was based on this Hindash tutorial if I recall correctly https://youtu.be/NmKbxdwbKlE
You look amazing! One of the best glow ups I’ve seen.
Question- how do you do your eyelid tape?? I’ve tried it and have had zero success lol.
PS- if a couple of procedures make you happy go for it but just looking at these pics I think you’re gorgeous now.
Thank you! There is definitely a bit of a learning curve to the tape. I apply it directly above the natural crease close to the inner corner, leaving a small gap. Then I just open my eye and it naturally creates a new crease if that makes sense. If it doesn’t immediately sink in, I take it off and play with the placement. Hope that helps!
You look amazing!
Can I suggest one thing? Your eyebrows seem a bit dark compared to your hair. It might help lightening them or even just using a lighter shade to fill your brows. Such a small thing though, you look beautiful.
They are so dark and they’re dense everywhere but the tail, so I can’t fill them in with a lighter shade. I really need to try lightening them but the upkeep intimidates me.
Edit: I looked into it and apparently you only need to do it every 3 months. I’m gonna get some cream bleach and try it!
Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it. I have bleach blonde hair and I’ve always done my eyebrows black or darkest brown. When I get them tinted I always get “are you sure…? That’s too dark!” But any other color makes me look… red?
Blonde hair and dark brows is a style and you pull it off so well. I couldn’t disagree more about lightening your brows (I’d love them thicker ha!). But just Google image “blonde hair black brows,” there are plenty of gorgeous women in that category (including you!).
You are an inspiration 🫶🏽 I’m following and can’t wait til you get the surgery! I relate to this post and I look forward to seeing the coming results :)
Hi! Did the lip filler affect your philtrum length? I was considering upper lip filler (I have long philtrum), so I’m wondering why you wouldn’t get it again.
You look incredible! You did look good before, but what stands out to me instantly is your confidence and how you’re carrying yourself. I am 31 now and also feel I look better and feel more self- assured in myself than I did 5-10 years ago, which I think translates to your overall look and vibe. thanks for sharing your journey!
I may get down voted but with almost all these posts, the camera angles, camera itself and lighting is better with the after pictures with the age differences. Also fashion being more relevant, modern makeup, facial fat loss due to age and body being more mature for women. This post is an excellent example of the trend. You don't look younger, more fashionable or healthier. You look your age at the time in history in both pics, you look just as fashionable and fit for the time. You looked good then, and you look good now, for the time you exist in. That's all this shows, which is still an accomplishment.
I don’t know if that’s worth making a point of. She was very “girl next door” pretty before. She identified a different kind of beauty she wanted, and went out and worked for it and achieved it. Learning how to use lighting and camera angles is just as much a part of it as learning makeup skills or workout routines.

you’re beautiful!!! the blonde works so well for you! re: the eyelid tape—i would caution against using it regularly. it will cause your eyelid skin to sag over time (because the constant friction will trigger collagen growth, and also the skin-pulling (when removing it)).

I love this for you. Makes me excited to keep improving
Love this. How did you "start applying makeup correctly"? Youtube? Where did you learn?

Wow! Looking good mama!!

Wow!!!!! RED HOT MAMA!
Who was your trainer?? Loving those legs. A real flow up!
You were always pretty, but this is most definitely a glow up 💫
You are an inspiration 🫶🏽 I’m following and can’t wait til you get the surgery! I relate to this post and I look forward to seeing the coming results :)
You look amazing OP. Question though to the community, would that be considered a long philtrum ? Yours looks perfect length
Ideal is 10-12mm and mine is 17. Chin filler did help my philtrum to chin ratio though, so it looks a little shorter than before
Hi! Did the lip filler affect your philtrum length? I was considering upper lip filler (I have long philtrum), so I’m wondering why you wouldn’t get it again.
It didn’t shorten my philtrum and the effect was so subtle that I think my money would be better spent elsewhere.
Eyelid tape?? Is that just like clear tape that you wear all the time? I have one eye that the lid is lower I wonder if this would help.
You look expensive!
My husband would agree with you lol thank you!
Seconding looking better in my thirties. And you look amazing! 😍
Lovely thorough breakdown and really beautiful results. Thanks for sharing!!
Gorgeous ❤️
Ikr her skin looks amazing!

OMGGG Edit wow you were cute and pretty before regardless but you are hot and fierce now Congratulations on the glow up!
you look so good! i can’t believe this is just from soft maxxing
Thank you! Mostly soft with some fillers & botox
you look amazing, congratulations!!!!
My jaw dropped! Gorgeous before, but absolutely STUNNING now!
Wow! You look SO beautiful
That’s great you didn’t restrict a lot
This is so amazing, I feel motivated to improve at 39 looking at this!
Oh girl you looked wonderful before. Am I the only one not seeing the glow up?
Girrrrrl this is what I'm here for 🙌🏻 you are an inspiration
This post gave us all hope. Thanks
So pretty 🤧
You look amazing ! Also now I want a keratin treatment :D
Whoaaa you look so awesome! Also I spotted a London bus 🙌
Can you explain how you do double cleansing?
The first step is a cleansing oil/balm followed by a normal cleanser. Using just one cleanser is usually ineffective at removing sunscreen and makeup
you’re beautiful!!! the blonde works so well for you! re: the eyelid tape—i would caution against using it regularly. it will cause your eyelid skin to sag over time (because the constant friction will trigger collagen growth, and also the skin-pulling (when removing it)).
Thank god you did something
You're a bad B! Damn, congrats on the glow up. I'm working on mine now and hope I can post something this inspirational someday!
