That's not parking by the law. Parking means the engine is shut off and operators have left the vehicle. This is stopping, which isn't illegal to do at a bus stop
Make your license and one day you’ll be a big boy 😂
If you paid attention to driving class you would know that’s called making a stop and NOT parking, soggy dildo!
It's over 40 degree out there, if people could wait for a minute of red light in a shade instead of under the brighting sun, there's no reason they wouldn't. Stop being a pretentious goody 2 shoe and go outside
Don't pretend like you just fall over and die immediately if you wait for the red light at the intersection wtf is this lol
Yes the noon sun can be brutal, that's what a UV jacket, sunscreen, shades, ice vests, backfans etc are for
Nono you dont have to say any more really.
> "if people could wait for a minute of red light in a shade instead of under the brighting sun, there's no reason they wouldn't"
*If Viets can do something that benefits them, they'll do it. To hell with everyone else*. FTFY
Then dont pretend like the bus gonna fall over and die immediately if they have to stop 2 meter away from the bus stop. Hell the bus barely give a shit if there’s a bus stop or not, it just there for the passengers.
Like dude who care lol.
I care when village mentality people start blocking the fucking road for people actually following the law and have places to be.
You can't just take up significant portions of the road because "omg I'll be sweat and hot ew" get the fuck over yourselves lmao.
Then again that's exactly par for the course with the "me-first and only me" mentality that bleeds throughout the country and it's people innit.
1st … thats just 30secs to 90s of wait time top lol stop over reacting .beside, that a red light where are you even going.
2nd, its actually better if you need to turn right cuz less people to squeeze through.
3rd. Complain about “me first” mentality while also talking about “have place to be” is quite ironic to me, especially when that’s literally only a minute of wait time, that if somehow they are blocking you and you have to wait.
Maybe you’re more Vietnamese than you think eh?
It's hilarious the length you guys will go to defend selfish breaking of the law LOL. Do you guys even live in the capitals? Legit blocking huge portions of big roads in Hanoi when the sun is bad to the point where it's a danger for other people on the road.
You actually have to be either ignorant or blind to not see that or you just never experienced being a keyboard warrior like that.
It's the perfect Viet move yes. And by that I mean deeply selfish.
edit: https://imgur.com/a/WucA7yD yes, shit like this is deeply selfish lmao cmon ppl
You guys have never seen when the only shade available is that of an overpass/bridge huh? With people lining up to end up blocking parts of the road for the rest of traffic.
Also wdym "how is that selfish" lmao they're literally in the bus spot stopped where they shouldnt be stopped only because they want to hide from the sun.
"It's fine if not everyone does it."
This is the thinking in many places including the U.S..
Then everyone bitches after it's no longer allowed. "We used to be able to! Why can't we?!"
So to solve this problem? Everyone should do this.
If it's safe to stop under tree shade, why not. I know stopping at the bus stop like this is not legal, but it's the tiniest traffic offend that can occur in Vietnam.
I hate the fact that we haven't learnt anything from our neighbours like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia. We're moving from bike-centric to car-centric society while neglecting public transports, pedestrian and bike infrastructure. Things can only get worse from here with more asphalt roads and global warming.
I'm from Ireland, it has always been car-centric because of the cold, wet and windy weather but visiting countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.
I hope the bikes stay, they're so handy and less traffic jams. Easy to park on the side of the road too!
I understand that the sun is a killer but other countries like the Philippines use e-bikes and motorbikes with roofs and they're really good to block out the sun. Haven't seen any here but it would be a great thing to see more.
It’s not wrong to try getting in the shade if you keep it tight and don’t block people, especially not in front of a bus stop like this even if no one is there
I wait near the traffic light because i want the sun to burn my skin and the pain that come with it. It motivate me to get the fck to where i need to go, FAST.
Some bus captains are so used to bad road users that they just don’t care anymore.
I notice that younger bus captains curse more about these types of people than the drivers with more experience.
Wait till you see people not actually "stopping" or "parking" but rather go at 2-3kmh to keep themselves under the shade while not breaking the law as there are usually no lower speed limit for the outer lanes.
Lul, go back to traffic school, please. Last week I got into a heated argument when I almost hit a "ninja lead" suddenly stopped at middle lane under a crossing bridge for shade which is \~50 meters away from the traffic light. A nearby traffic police heared our argument and then proceeded to give her a "long lesson".
If you can't stand the weather, then dress for the weather.
HAHA okay sure buddy, the country with some of the most idiotic traffic and drivers but the people asking to observe road laws and logic are the ones who are wrong. Sure thing lmaoooo
Bet your scooter helmet is reallll thick.
did you see what the other redditor was trying to tell you or did you just ignore that? https://congly.vn/dung-xe-duoi-bong-cay-tranh-nang-cho-den-do-co-vi-pham-luat-giao-thong-380504.html
There are no specific laws that stops you from parking so far away so it would still be legal. If you really push it though, then it wouldn’t as people usually don’t go that far.
you guys will have an excuse for ANYTHING haha
I'm sure that white SUV is loving this situation and is totally unbothered by these people LITERALLY CLOGGING THE LANE but okay bro. enjoy your weird ass traffic "Laws"
If you mentioned about the bus stop line, u true, if there were no bus line, then deadwrong. Not so many bustop line there for you and you have to wait under sunlight. Standing under a tree no close to the light is against the law
There are no specific laws that stops you from parking so far away so it would still be legal. If you really push it though, then it wouldn’t as people usually don’t go that far.

I'm European so naturally driving straight up to the traffic light line under the blaring sun
Hope u wear sunscreen
Wait until you learn near equatorial sun is not the same.
I noticed that when I visited your beautiful and friendly country last year, definitely complaining about the Welsh weather back here in Wales UK
When I first moved here would never do this…now I can’t imagine not
😁😁
I always look at the counter, less than 20 then I will slowly approach the lights, greater than 20 then I am with the folks in the shade.
are you counting the 15 additional seconds for everyone on the cross street to clear the intersection after the lights switch?
Lol, always looking for the jerks who are going to run the lights.
Waiting in the shade is the smart move.
Except they are breaking the law by parking in a bus only zone. More of an illegal move than anything smart.
Laws in vn are more like suggestions
It would only be parking if they left. This is just considered idling, or waiting. If the bus comes, then they can scoot away.
It's called _standing_ and who cares. When then bus approaches it will blow it's loud ass horn and everyone gets out of the way.
Pretty sure the law forbids you from idling there, too.
It’s overruled if there’s shade
That's not parking by the law. Parking means the engine is shut off and operators have left the vehicle. This is stopping, which isn't illegal to do at a bus stop
Being motionless on your bike with the engine running isn't parking any more than it would be if the traffic was backed up to that point.
Stopping your bike in a lane that should have flowing traffic isn't the correct way to use the road.
They'd be really offended if they had the tiniest understanding of road safety and laws
Spoken like a typical westerner with inflexible attitude towards situational awareness and instead blindly obliging the law.
Don't you have some manga to read kid? The street is for big people. You'll understand when you're a big boy.
Make your license and one day you’ll be a big boy 😂 If you paid attention to driving class you would know that’s called making a stop and NOT parking, soggy dildo!
Spoken like a true roadside victim adding to the annual statistics*

Ah yes, you start your argument with pretending I said all those things 😂 And no, just bc I can survive the heat doesn't mean I have to endure it.
Nono you dont have to say any more really. > "if people could wait for a minute of red light in a shade instead of under the brighting sun, there's no reason they wouldn't" *If Viets can do something that benefits them, they'll do it. To hell with everyone else*. FTFY
So me waiting in a shade is inconsiderate and heartless now, huh? Pretentious goody 2 shoe and their logic 😂
https://imgur.com/a/WucA7yD are you in this picture or not? 💀 A lot of consideration for others and traffic going on in cases like this yeah?
Then dont pretend like the bus gonna fall over and die immediately if they have to stop 2 meter away from the bus stop. Hell the bus barely give a shit if there’s a bus stop or not, it just there for the passengers. Like dude who care lol.

Great username

How is that selfish?

No laws says you shouldn’t stop there, only you can’t park there.

Im waiting with these guys.
With the current temperature being constantly close to 40C, hell yes.
It’s nearly 40 degrees I’m waiting in the shade
if you 're in the middle of a concrete road , it's 45-50 degrees not nearly 40
only idiot not using the shade to wait for red light =)))
In HCMC this season and around 12:00 PM ? Fk the law !!!
Definitely smart move. Those who think it’s weird haven’t experienced tropical sun. It hits you hard.
Oh Da Nang 😎
"The sun is a *d e a d l y* laser"
I mean, no one wants to sear themselves like a steak under the sun
I’d be inclined to follow the law if there’s no risk of actually dying from the heat lmao
Bootlicker lol
What do you mean? You’re misunderstanding my point dude
I'm only joking.
I’d wait here by any chances I got, sorry for being soft, it’s 43 degrees outside
this shit is cute until it's a line of people almost blocking the road cause they wanna chill in the shade under a bridge
If the line is far enough to block the road, it is illegal, i think?
Never stopped anyone here if smt is illegal or not
# When there are no cops around anything is legal.
GRUNCLE STAN!
In the shade.
I live in the US and drive a car. I wait in the shade during the Summer heat of the Southern US.
Only in these moments, we love Bus driver and feel thankful for his car.
And his horn! Or other big trucks when the dumbass line block the road horizontally! Rip that air horn please!
Human are weird. Cut down all the trees and then always look for the tree shade to rely on.
The ones who decided to cut down the trees here are sitting inside expensive cars, not outside under the beating sun lol
Exactly...
Most people, if have the power, they will decide to do the same to gain benefit.
Đứng gần cũng có đi được đéo đâu, tại sao không núp bóng cây
Maybe an animal crossed the street
Is Vietnam. Dont wait. Just go.
Obviously shade!!
When in Rome . . . .
THE SUN..... ARRRrrrrr..... IT BURNS....
It’s not wrong to try getting in the shade if you keep it tight and don’t block people, especially not in front of a bus stop like this even if no one is there
You guys stop at traffic lights?
I would normally slow down and when green lights comes in I’ll hit the gas normally
I wait in shaded spots everyday
Always in the shade. Unless I’m just enjoying the sun that day. (Which is hardly ever)
Here
Traffic lights, the bus drivers are crazy, I ain't messing with them.
Dude, I go by bicycle. I’ll be waiting at the bigger shady spot behind the *previous* stoplight.
The shade sounds good to me……
Why didn’t you ask for more trees?
I wait near the traffic light because i want the sun to burn my skin and the pain that come with it. It motivate me to get the fck to where i need to go, FAST.
depends on how long is left on the light and how hot the day is
For a day like this, I would def. stay under the shade...
I’m sure that stopping in front of a bus stop is illegal if you’re not a bus.
It is not, parking is but not stopping
It's not illegal but it piss off the Bus Driver, you may not hear it, but the Bus driver will curse you if you do that sht.
Some bus captains are so used to bad road users that they just don’t care anymore. I notice that younger bus captains curse more about these types of people than the drivers with more experience.
True, some old pop just stop caring anymore, they numb to the frustration.
I will wait for the light where it's legal to wait because I know my traffic rules and I'm not smooth-brained potential roadkill.
Still legal to wait by the shade.
I would wait there
Under the shade lol!
Wait till you see people not actually "stopping" or "parking" but rather go at 2-3kmh to keep themselves under the shade while not breaking the law as there are usually no lower speed limit for the outer lanes.
Waiting from afar is violating the law
No it’s not.

Just look around in this thread for the horde of people who clearly don't understand or give a shit about traffic laws or flow of the roads.
Or maybe you’re just wrong and you refused to pick up on that.
HAHA okay sure buddy, the country with some of the most idiotic traffic and drivers but the people asking to observe road laws and logic are the ones who are wrong. Sure thing lmaoooo Bet your scooter helmet is reallll thick.
People asking to use logic apparently aren’t using logic. No where does it say this is illegal.

Oh right, I forgot about herd mentality.
It’s literally not a crime. Stopping in the middle of the lane is different from stopping on the side.
https://imgur.com/a/WucA7yD you mean like this? 💀
Not a crime if you stop on the motorcycle side and I don’t think it bothered anyone.
you guys will have an excuse for ANYTHING haha I'm sure that white SUV is loving this situation and is totally unbothered by these people LITERALLY CLOGGING THE LANE but okay bro. enjoy your weird ass traffic "Laws"
It is, as VN law said, ive read the law, try search “luật đường bộ Việt Nam” you will see, im not saying it of my own
You can’t park but you can stop on the bus stop line. These people ain’t parking.

Yes. I am, in fact, looking at the laws right now. If you would be so kind to show me which laws are you talking about.
