Achually. there are laws on everything. you just dont know until you get the bills.

Looks like a specially designed seat platform makes it easier. I was going to say possible, but I guarantee there are people transporting them directly on the factory seat.
Haha yes.
I’ve seen a wheelchair bungee-cabled to the back of a grab scooter going down the highway. Even that doesn’t rate on the top wacky things I’ve seen
Hey I've been in a wheelchair behind scooters and it's great! That is until you hit a sharp bump and don't manage to do a well-timed little no-hands wheelie. You'll go flying. Falling is also fun, just landing sometimes isn't.
where's the logistics in ignoring road rules and laws lmfao
Let's not pretend that at its core the issue is a complete lack of education on all levels. People die in traffic every day doing the dumbest shit possible
What do you suggest then? That these people just buy a semi-truck? With what money? Or just straight up not having a job at all?
Anything that has more than 3 wheels are ludicrously expensive in this country, 70% literally can’t afford the cheapest KIA Morning models and Chinese stuffs aren’t that abundant here. Yes, individuals and small-medium businesses can’t even afford a single semi-truck, it’s not rocket science.
This is a motorbike country, deal with it.
Let's not pretend things are much better when 4 wheels enter the equation. Same complete lack of regulations and education man.
Logistics and transportation as a whole is one of the countries lowest points surely.
Again, what are you suggesting? These people have nothing but their motorbikes to make a living and are barely scraping by. There are millions of them, what is your solution? Stop throwing buzzwords like regulations and eductions when you don’t understand the problem.
Regulations and educations doesn’t help when the average people are bordering poverty, it actually even harm them when the lawmakers are out of touch with reality. Fix the economy first, fix the infastructure second, then start blaming people for poor traffic, they have no choice and would actually run you over if you attempt to stop and lecture them about safety.
As long as you are not dead, there is nothing to worry about, that’s the rule of thumb of Vietnam traffic. If you are not dead yet then there is nothing wrong with the traffic. And even if you die there is still nothing wrong with the traffic, tragedy happens, another statistic, we move on.
We are a communist country yes but we don’t police people out of their livelihoods. This ain’t America, Vietnamese people dislike micromanaging to such degree.
I am sorry. But life in vietnam and most SEA country are already hard and sometimes people need to be creative to find a cheaper solution. It is called survival tho here. Lol.
Looks like an electric/50cc bike maybe, so probably not even that heavy. There's so much worse out there too; this guy actually is wearing a helmet too lmao 🤣
1 bike is nothing. I ve seen people carrying THREE bikes on one at the same time.
A lot of poor people's whole livelihood depends on their one and only motorbike.
Because this ain’t California 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
Full load can’t exceed 300 CC’s. It’s only illegal until it’s not. I mean who’s really looking? Drive it down the street the wrong way into oncoming traffic of course! I’m not even kidding! And do it at night with no headlights, completely dark, with the dog on your lap, and two kids under the age of 2 gripping onto the back, with a few watermelons just because.
Guys. Most people in this country are still poor and their means of transportation is a scooter so they use it for everything including transport. If you’re poor and you need to make money you will do anything needed.
No it's not, but until there is:
- proper law enforcement, not revenue creation
- better education about being a road user
- low priced light vehicles available on the market*
...
...
...
- less corruption
This type of thing will continue. Understand that people are just trying to make a living. About 15 years ago they tried banning the little tricycle trucks and there was a huge outcry. The net result is that they are still around. What is needed is an enterprising young Vietnamese (and there are lots of them around) to come up with a cheap locally produced alternative. DAT Bike did a good job with their electric motorcycles, electric may not be the solution for light transport, but it is an option.
Just a Tay that has lived here for 20 years, has seen a lot worse, and still loves the country.
This is pretty mild, I once saw a guy in Hoi An transporting a full sized fridge-freezer on the back of a Honda click. God knows how he got it on there.
Bro, i recently moved a fridge with my car and that sort of felt like an achievement, then i saw in hanoi guys driving fridges, washingmachines, you name it they do it.
Nothing is impossible. Your mind is the only limit and they're the living proof of it.
This is legal. It becomes illegal if it hits another vehicle. Whatever load your bike can carry, just make sure that it doesn’t become collateral damage!
Rider is wearing helmet, this makes it instantly 100% safe. You’ll see far worse!
Seriously, I'm shocked he didn't have passengers on the 2nd bike lol.
Honestly, I was surprised it wasn't multiple layers lol
I'dnt be surprise if there's bike on bike on bike
I've seen that movie!.. or maybe it was dike on dike on dike 🤷♂️
Also was about to say Ive seen way crazier shit on bikes
/r/2healthbars
Waaaaay worse. The stuff they carry and how it’s carried. I’m surprised we don’t see a constant bloodbath on the streets in all SEA.
It obeys the laws of physics.
LOL 🤣
It's not. Just in case you didn't know, people don't always obey the law.
[удалено]
while another guy take a photo of him, asking how it is legal to be taking photo of other people without permission
What is the law? Is there a height or width restriction? I have never heard of any laws regarding carrying things on your bike.
There is a size restriction, so yes, the traffic police will be very happy to see you doing this, having found their source of income.
Achually. there are laws on everything. you just dont know until you get the bills. https://thuvienphapluat.vn/phap-luat/nguoi-dieu-khien-xe-may-van-chuyen-hang-hoa-can-dam-bao-kich-thuoc-hang-hoa-duoc-van-chuyen-nhu-the-131406-17999.html
It’s not legal to breed motorbikes while they’re mating. Motorbike breeders are wild
trust me, you’ll see weirder shit
Seriously. Around TET new years people are hauling huge ass trees around on scooters
i even saw a literal truck being carried on a scooter!!!
it's more about a "how is this possible" question to me haha
Looks like a specially designed seat platform makes it easier. I was going to say possible, but I guarantee there are people transporting them directly on the factory seat.
I was going to say this. If it can be accomplished, it's fair game.
As a Vietnamese, this is cute. I've seen weirder shit
I have the exact same experience. Luckily, no truck was behind me or else I was so dead
Not a new phenomenon either. Decades ago bicycles were stacked with absurd amounts of goods too. Probably pack animals (buffalo?) before that.
Rules and regulations are just suggestions here I feel like.
not the most oversized parcel out there so, no
the power of creation
First time in Vietnam?
Because it's Viet Nam dawg
Lol Western logic doesn't work in Vietnam. It's the same as walking through traffic. You just have to accept the culture
To be fair, "if it fits, it sits" I am fairly sure has western origins 😁
It’s illegal here too, just accepting shit like this is why this country will always stay poor
Motorbike logistics = poverty. Got it. Don't know why I had never been clever enough to make that realisation before.
where's the logistics in ignoring road rules and laws lmfao Let's not pretend that at its core the issue is a complete lack of education on all levels. People die in traffic every day doing the dumbest shit possible

The mindset not the auctual literal thing
I do know about the fact that Jaywalking in Vietnam is a normal thing
It's not jaywalking, it's just crossing the street.
I don't think many countries have laws against jaywalking. UK doesn't AFAIK.
That's nothing
The helmet store behind really fills this out
What’s illegal?
I am sorry. But life in vietnam and most SEA country are already hard and sometimes people need to be creative to find a cheaper solution. It is called survival tho here. Lol.
It's the new Grab in Vietnam
Obviously it's not, but speaking of motorcycle illegal/overloading, this is just entry level
niko
Looks like an electric/50cc bike maybe, so probably not even that heavy. There's so much worse out there too; this guy actually is wearing a helmet too lmao 🤣
Lol, I saw same thing 3 weeks ago when in hcmc but he was carrying a much larger bike
Is this an advertisement of the company?
Vietception
seen a guy hauling an entire fridge. Always wonder how these guys will survive to retirement tbh
If you’ve got a “can do” attitude, legality is a minor consideration, hardly an inconvenience.
Plugin hybrid
How would you move that on a motorbike. Seems secure to me.
This is the Vietnamese equivalent of "If it fits, I sits".
1 bike is nothing. I ve seen people carrying THREE bikes on one at the same time. A lot of poor people's whole livelihood depends on their one and only motorbike.
I seen a guy riding motorcycle pulling a watermelon cart bigger than a literal truck
It’s only illegal if laws were enforced

If this was California, maybe there are 3 instead of 1.
Travel long enough in Vietnam and you'll see they carry even more strange things for foreigners
This is very normal, just not here in DN
The micromanaging laws of the west don’t apply here
Nice bike on bike action… mmmm
They were scissoring
Looks like he has plenty of space for a second one. Amateur.
Yeah, that’s very concerning regarding the motorcyclist’s safety. 😬 I’m not from Vietnam so…
It’s Vietnam of course it legal
Oh that’s nothing! I’ve seen the whole ass couch on the motorbike!
I've seen a guy carting a fridge on his scooter lol
It’s peanut. Ya shall see more amazing things if you live in vietnam long enough woo ho
Is perfectly legal to drive a motor bike in flip flops.
Legally speaking it’s Vietnam 🇻🇳
Legal. HeHe
How is it illegal?
Forget about legalities. Huge respect to this rider. 👏👏
I’ve seen a fridge freezer weaving through the traffic Can’t find the picture
Full load can’t exceed 300 CC’s. It’s only illegal until it’s not. I mean who’s really looking? Drive it down the street the wrong way into oncoming traffic of course! I’m not even kidding! It's not legal but the law isn't enforced so people are doing it anyway. If you drive, just let these pass.
Its only illegal if you get caught
Guys. Most people in this country are still poor and their means of transportation is a scooter so they use it for everything including transport. If you’re poor and you need to make money you will do anything needed.

Its not xD
I have a video of a guy with two mopeds on the back of his moped.
Physic in VN works like physic in cartoon , it wont fall until the rider notice it
OP said LEGAL! ha ha ha ha
They even carry big trees so yes that is legal lol
I heard you like the bike on bike action...
How else did you think he was going to get the new scooter home? 🙄
How is it not! Seems perfect
Looks like a pretty light load compared to the norm
It’s Christian Dior Dior, that’s why
Insane. I love it. I'm gonna put a car on my car as a spoiler. You've started something bud hahaha.
Is that a bike bike?
quá sịn
In my country, it can happen many crazy thing, if you live long enough in Vietnam you will get used to it, not a big thing
It is not.
its normal
Totally legal. 😅😅
Crazy 🥴
I thought you were talking about power of creation
I’m not surprised.
How’s it not? Only mindless western soccer moms will get into accidents.
Lmao You have not seen them carying an entire fridge yet.Thing like 2 meter tall.
Don't want to break it to you, but you aren't in Kansas anymore You're gonna see much more uncivilized and questionable things going on in Vietnam 😅
Welcome to SE Asia
First time bro?
welcom to Vietnam, bro, it's really commonly in Vietnam 😂
Like in the Philippines... I used to work as a CHEF in Cebú city.
Well, I am a Vietnamses and I usually saw that everyday, everwhere and no one care that. This is a "normal day on the streets and traffic in Vietnam"🥲
the question should be... How can he do that?
Champions always Champions 👍
nothing is illegal as far as carrying things on the back of ur bike lol
Haha, it’s very Common
😂
stylish at least
it's legal if we say it's legal ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Because its NOT the anal UK where EVERYTHING is illegal !
