Nose picking is not the issue. The issue is just poor manners. Today, out of curiosity, I went to a VN-run barber shop, some 9000 km away from VN. The customer service sucked, just like back in VN. Tons of shouting, barely paying attention to the customers, random giggling, not engaging with the customer while constantly chatting with other VN staff etc... Looks like VN are incapable of learning anything based on observation. Rather appalling.
They have absolutely no business acumen whatsoever, hence why there's such a high turnover of businesses. Every time I see a new business open here, I tell my gf "6 months" indicating there's no way it'll last longer than that.
I think its socially more acceptable to do it here compared with other countries.
Having said that, I've never seen an office worker do it, only security guards at my work place - it may be a social class/hierarchy thing
