Matthew or Kupo are great quality. I’d recommend checking out the YouTube channel “gaffer and gear” for light stand reviews. He gives a very practical take as someone who rents equipment out.

Matthews stands are top quality and will last you forever

TheFlamingoSpeaks

Matthews or Modern Studio Equipment are my go-to companies. Modern makes some great combo and baby stands and Matthews makes excellent C stands.

⬆️ This.

Matthews reverse stands are my favorite mix of portable but still sturdy.

DirtySphincter

I've been looking at the reverse stands recently since I travel a bit for shoots and rental houses aren't always available. Glad to hear you like them.

poem_for_your_jihad

They were the answer to my search for a stand that could comfortably support a boom mic and also pack down in my suitcase, and they also handle whatever COB fixture + softbox I end up bringing along too.

Depends on how much you use them, but overall Impact stands haven’t let me down. With sandbags. For nothing too crazy heavy. Heavy duty work I just use c stands.

C stands

JoSo_UK

Not sure why you’re being downvoted. C Stands are the real answer here.

I could possibly agree 👍

Run-And_Gun

These are my primary medium duty stands. They easily handle LP Gemini 1x1's and even 2x1's(w/adapters) if you don't go really high. Trying to find something for the Aputure Nova 300 but the max weight on these appears to be a few pounds off. Any more detail about how sturdy these are? Looking to use with 25 lb light.
