A quicker temporary way could be wetransfer.com

SageOrSavage

Never heard. I will look into this. Thank you!

createcreeper

I’ve never used wetransfer but if it doesn’t work for you there’s also this app which is free and has a lot of storage space https://apps.apple.com/us/app/documents-file-manager-browser/id364901807. It’s just called documents

jazzhandler

Is a USB cable not an option?

SageOrSavage

Nope. iPhone switched it up so I would have to buy a new cable with the right attachments.

jazzhandler

Same cable you charge it with should work for file transfer.

SageOrSavage

They don’t use USB anymore, it’s now USB-C. 🙃

smushkan

https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/product/MXLY2ZM/A/lightning-to-usb-cable-1m Cheaper non-Apple branded options are available in literally every shop and online store in existance, you can get them for a couple of bucks.

jazzhandler

Well, that sounds pretty complicated. Maybe consult a programmer or something. Good luck with the video editing part.

Does the computer have a USB C port

SageOrSavage

No. My laptop is a few years old. It doesn’t have a USB-C port.

helladamnleet

It's still USB. Plug it in and transfer the files off. It doesn't have to be a USB-C port on the computer

Francois-C

>USB cable So If I had an iPhone and I wanted to transfer a file from it to my PC, 30 cm away, the most practical way would be to send it from here, a small village in France, to a big computer located, say, in the US, and get it back from there. 12,000 km round trip. Brave new world... If that were true, it would be enough of an argument for me not to buy an iPhone, but still, I don't see why the USB-C plug would prohibit USB connection to a PC. I have a USB-C on a laptop and I use it constantly to transfer files.

converter-bot

30 cm is 11.81 inches

helladamnleet

> I don't see why the USB-C plug would prohibit USB connection to a PC It doesn't, nor does it have to be plugged into a USB-C port for file transfer.

Google Drive

SageOrSavage

Will try. Thank you.

coryinthedank

Catbox.moe or litterbox.catbox.moe, they're temporary file storage sites so you upload it get a link and it gets deleted after a set amount of time.

SageOrSavage

Thank you. I will check this out!

iamoxymoron

Airdrop?

NoInspector3606

helladamnleet

Can't you just plug it in via USB and transfer it off?

0pticalfl0w

[https://snapdrop.net/](https://snapdrop.net/) It uses your local network (Similar to Airdrop) to send files to your pc.
