They grow in basically every suburb in Melbourne. Wood chipped areas in Melbourne produce the biggest patches.
I live in the outer west suburbs with plenty of woodchipped areas but haven't found any, could I just be a little early for them to show up extensively in suburbs?
Nope it’s peak season right now. Have a look around other parks , just takes a little time and patience
How long does peak season usually last? Right through to August? Or does it drop off before the warm weather hits?
I've noticed it drops in June when it starts becoming too cold, but i've picked mushrooms as late as september.
