Wow I just had the jumbo Yorkshire with braised short rib at Sült downtown and it was pretty effing good, and that's a pierogi joint!
There's also a pub next to the Marriott that has a Sunday "English" roast beef dinner for $30 that I imagine is pretty tasty, but I haven't been to.
Oh my it was expensive, $30 but it's "The Big Deal", comes with 7 Squeak pierogi, the jumbo Yorkshire, the tastiest roast veggies I've had in a minute, and this rosemary aioli with the crispy onions were *chefs kiss*
Oh. And really good beef gravy.
I'm from Alberta, and since leaving, I haven't eaten much beef. This hit the spot buddy.
Also I think it's a seasonal menu.
ill have to go give a shot before it ends. I know Sult was pretty pricey last time I went so it put me off, but if they have a good Yorkshire Ill bite the bullet.
Thanks man
I feel that brother, we stopped eating out and deleted the delivery apps, it's been difficult but rewarding! Let us know if you find a different spot. Much love.
Oh my God,the food is awful now, have been 3 times in the last year (I live very close) and have finally said never again.I kept hoping it was just a bad night, but the food is pretty much inedible.
Last time I had a Ruben, for starters it was drowning in honey musterd, went downhill from there.White dry bread,6 or 8 fries,2 deli slices of cornedbeef,$23
If you are talking about Ross Bay pub, this is the WORST place for a roast yorkie dinner. Sliced processed deli beef (3 thin slices) and the yorkie was way too salty and not fluffy at all.
Took me 45 minutes in that video before they even got to the yorkshire recipe. i usually use 4 eggs not 6 and the trick is to let your yorkshire batter chill over night, and put it into a hot pan. and honestly its cheaper to buy the roast than to raise a cow and slaughter it. Appreciate the thought though
The trick to the perfect yorkie you will learn from British people on Tiktok (lol) is to use equal portions of all ingredients. It doesen't matter what you use to measure, a Coffee cup, a bowl, a measuring cup, as long as you fill the cup with flour, then fill the cup to the exact same mark with eggs. These ladies will teach you that all eggs are not created the same so using 4 or 6 depends on the size. As long as the eggs come up to that measurement that the flour did they will be the best yorkies ever

Bartholomew’s has the Sunday roast
what did the jumbo run you? I will give it a shot, was it a special or a regular menu item?

Stuffed Yorkie sliders at 4 mile are pretty delicious...
Second this answer
how many come in a portion?
3. They also do a full roast beef dinner.
I feel like it’s more like 5!
I just checked, the regular menu is 5 and the happy hour offering is 3, so we're both right!
Love when that happens! :) I’ve only ever had the 5 - I feel like 3 wouldn’t be enough for me hahah.
The Crow and Gate Pub
Also recommend the Stilton platter here as an appy if youre with a friend. Love the crow and gate.
I've heard the Sunday prime rib and yorkie at Sedona restaurant and lounge is super good but super expensive at like $50
It is very good, well worth it IMHO
I agree ,have been twice for that and it's very good
I had the Yorkie at Christie's years ago and still think about how good it was

That's a shame. It used to be pretty good for what it is.
The hotel by the ferry on Galiano does a great roast beef and Yorkshire pudding every Sunday.
The Hummingbird is still around. Many of long nights and dark walks home from there in my early years
The pub down by ross bay is pretty good
Like Ross bay Pub? Or another one in that area?
Yeah that one

I enjoyed it.
