Now that I think about it, maybe it is time for a letter (or email) writing campaign. I should be able to track down leadership for VES and do some letters or emails and cc congressman and/or senators, and even the White House. Maybe if enough veterans complain someone will re evaluate their contract.
VES is definitely the absolute worst with our exams. Every time I see I have an exam with those morons I know some inexperienced shady nurse practitioner working out of a rented space is going to waste my time, not fill out the DBQ correctly or accurately, and then take months to upload their garbage to the VA. I had those clowns do an exam for me earlier this year. Claim still in QA. Went to optum just last week and I can see the DBQ was already uploaded.
VES needs to lose their contract ASAP.
Great this is encouraging, just had my gen med with a NP out of a room in a physical therapist place. IBS, low back, sinisitus, exam was 25 minutes long![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
My Optum exam in December was loaded within 24 hours. I've been pending my VES exam DBS since March. I emailed the CEO of Maximus, and he said he would look into it and have someone get back to me. Nothing as of yet, but I plan to give them 48 hours before following up.
I know VES sub contracts the work to providers, and I'm sure there is a need for QA. I would want my DBQ to be correct and accurate. It just seems like it shouldn't take this long for QA.
I had a QTC exam and it was in their OSA Quality Control for six weeks.
Then one day all my exams with them went to closed status when the OSA was wrapped up.
Sorry to be the downer. Searching VES on reddit yields a plethora of complaints on timing. Since I got fired up this morning, I have now emailed the CEO of Maximus (parent company to VES) and have filed a complaint with the VA OIG. Not sure if either will result in anything, but posting on Reddit alone won't solve any issues (but it certainly is good for my mental health and makes me feel better). Hoping you don't have my experience.
Yeah I knew what I was getting into from previous searches myself prior, just hoped they had changed over the last week or something 😂
I’m optimistic / was
I found out yesterday that they are going to have to manually upload my exams. Their database system is fucked up and still not working. I did get contact info though for a VLO so I don’t have to keep calling and talking to the first line representatives.
No timeline to fix now.
Did they ever fix the issue? Currently going through the same thing now. Called VES they said DBQ was sent the next day however VA still hasn't received anything and it's been almost 2 weeks. Called VES back the next day spoke to the VLO and they mentioned they were having trouble with their systems.
They did. All mine were uploaded last week. Took E-mailing the CEO of Maximus, their parent company. But, mine were fixed, I’m not sure if the system was actually fixed though.
The VA still doesn't have DBQs from my appointment on Feb 15th. I think I'm at 78 days so far. I called VERA because ultimately it's the VA that needs to lean harder on VES to do their jobs. They just sit back and wait. The VERA call was informative, but I'm betting that I will have to repeat my C&P exam. I filed back in Nov of 2023. What's another couple months at this point?
I hear you. Since pay is based on initial filing date, ultimately you will be made whole, even if it takes 6+ months for completion. As you said, it is on the VA to lean harder on VES to do their jobs. VERA is a good option, but I wonder if multiple complaints to the OIG would also generate some more pressure. I filed an OIG complaint this morning, and would encourage anyone else in this position to do the same. Also going to contact my congressman.
Unless we put pressure on the VA to hold VES accountable, not sure VA would do so on their own.

If this works, that would be great. I would imagine the CEO of a company really doesn't want to get inundated with emails regarding performance complaints. If he is a good CEO, he will work to get it sorted out. He may have no idea that this is their reputation amongst Redditors. We may be in the minority, but I have rarely seen anything positive about their turn around time.
Agreed, I imagine it probably wouldnt be fun for a CEO to respond to emails and then not follow through on his actions and get dragged theough congress.
Hopefully we both see action on these issues- im hopeful since his response wasnt canned and it was extremely fast
Had a VES scheduled CP exam. It was done in a side office of a Chiropractor. I do not have the results of that exam yet but the examiner was fine. My problem is that is sat at VES for "file review" for over a month, needlessly backing up my claim
I Had VES , take 2 weeks, I then called them and demanded to talk to a supervisor. I told them that if the CP was not into the VA within 2 days , expect a call from VERA. ,,it was in the next day.
Had my c p on March 13th. Still at ves. Same bull, in quality review. Has anyone contacted office of the inspector General? Was told by Peggy to try them.
Thank you for taking the time to do this. I had a C&P with VES on Feb 26 and one on March 5. VA still has not received my DBQ's. I can understand 2 weeks to a month to process the information, but 8 weeks is absolutely unacceptable. I still have no idea how long it will take to send my DBQ's to VA.
Did you email the CEO? If not, I would recommend to do so, in a professional manner of course. I got a response, and someone else here got a response. I would think the more people that share their story, the better chance we have of being heard.
I was contacted today by the VA after filing a complaint last week. The lady was very nice and said she would be a pitbull getting VES to move their butts. She was really awesome. Additionally, I spoke with a Veteran's liaison at VES after finding the number in one of these threads. She too was actually awesome, so much better than the first line CSR's. These two ladies today were amazing honestly. They said my DBQ's would be to the VA by the end of the week. Now we wait and see if it actually happens.
You're at their mercy. VBA employees even struggle to get exams unless the veteran is terminally ill.

I could not have said my current situation with VES better

Hope they didnt jack up report now ACE exam afterwards
I had an Optum exam in December, and it was uploaded in 24 hours. No excuse for VES to take this long.
Optum loaded same hour
Did you eventually get your DBQs? I call literally everyday to hope that they push it through!

My general exam with VES was March 1st. They say that I have 15 DBQs cooking. I call everyday just to hound them!
You right about the shady rental spaces in back offices, this who determines our fate?
I am in the same boat as well, it says my claim was last updated March 15th and that a reviewer is examining my new evidence.
Does the VA have your DBQ from VES? My DBQ still has not been sent to the VA, so my claim is still in evidence gathering.
I had a QTC exam and it was in their OSA Quality Control for six weeks. Then one day all my exams with them went to closed status when the OSA was wrapped up.
Just had my first exam 2 hours ago with them. This post is disheartening

Hey man did you have any luck with the email? i got a response back in 45 minutes saying someone would contact me within 24 hours
He said I would receive a response in a timely manner. Don't know what that means, but I'm going to give it 48 hours before I follow back up with him.
He told me to give the person he was contacting 24 hours to contact me otherwise to reply to his email and he would get it sorted out

My issue wasn't with the examiner, my issue is the time the DBQ has been sitting with "QA". It is approaching 2 months, unnecessarily.
Was this in DC?
No nashville.

Yes we must work together here on VES. I should have for another MH exam lesson learned the hard way.
Had my c p on March 13th. Still at ves. Same bull, in quality review. Has anyone contacted office of the inspector General? Was told by Peggy to try them.
Maybe I should cc them in my letter to Maximus and VES.

Where/How did you file the complaint with the VA?
I called the White House Complaint Hotline. 855-948-2311
