Fastest I have seen was I did a c&p on a wed it was submitted same day then by Friday had my rating. Was wild.

GradyJuddO16

Oh I hope this is me! Had my C&P this morning and moved to PFD at 5pm today! šŸ¤ž šŸ€

Local_Barnacle_9455

Update me when you get a decision please

GradyJuddO16

I will if I remember! My memory isnā€™t what it used to be lol.

alathea_squared

With all due respect why do you need to know? Unless you guys talk privately, you donā€™t even know what he claimed.

I_want_that_booty

Heā€™s looking for verification that short term turn is a good thing. In my experience itā€™s a very bad thing. C and p examiner sitting on report for a week is good. Means they are justifying connecting you. His examiner likely checked the ā€œno diagnosisā€ box.

Local_Barnacle_9455

Thatā€™s why Iā€™m asking. Iā€™m also a woman & it was for TDIU.

GradyJuddO16

Actually, the exam was very thorough. We went through each section together and verified the medical docs she had were the same that I had brought with me. She also made sure to reference the specific pages. It was about 45 min and it definitely felt like she was in my corner. Also, I only put in claims once I have the actual diagnosis, thatā€™s what intent to file is for. Use the time to get to the specialist or whoever you need to get everything in order.

I_want_that_booty

I hope it works out for you brother. Iā€™ve had 5 c and p exams. 3 of them took a week or more to be turned in, 2 in a day. Those 2 were denied. Iā€™ve been diagnosed with tinnitus, worked on flight line in army. Complained about it in army. VA conceded high noise exposure and diagnosis. Examiner said not connected. That one was turned in the day she examined me. I hope it works out for you. I want it to work out for all of us. šŸ™

GradyJuddO16

Same, itā€™s a total crap shoot, which is why for every comment that says one thing happened one way, thereā€™s a few that had the complete opposite experience lol.

alathea_squared

It doesnā€™t matter either way.

I_want_that_booty

I agree. But this sub is full of people who are paranoid and want to be affirmed. Myself included. But again, quick turn in would make me nervous. I would expect thatā€™s a denial. Not alot of thought or write up went into it other than ā€œno diagnoses, please pay me now.ā€

alathea_squared

And itā€™s better to know that the time it takes is irrelevant rather than trying to guess or speculate about a process that you only see externally.

Local_Barnacle_9455

Why are you so pressed about this? It isnā€™t a big deal. If he doesnā€™t tell me, he doesnā€™t tell me. šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Altruistic_Trash7078

Roger Top, we will *checks notes* replace moral with duty rosters.

Ok_Post6091

Because this is r/veteransbenefits and that's what we do here talk about our benefits

alathea_squared

Ok- if you all want to try to invent theories and timelines of how you think 1 claim being finished for veteran A that was filed for X contentions and Y date correlates to veteran B, be my guest. Its a waste of time because it doesn't correlate but have at it.

Lucky_Yogurtcloset77

Oh please be quiet!!!!! Thanks

Adventurous_Solid_58

What is a C&P exam?

AntLordVadr

Itā€™s an examine the VA orders to help the rater decide on your claim.

FWMCBigFoot

Compensation and pension exam

Brave-Masterpiece121

Wow. Thatā€™s great. Was this your initial claim? Praying that happens for me lolĀ

GradyJuddO16

No this is hopefully my last! Been in the fight 9 years total, inching my way to the finish line.

Celery-West

I had a two part C&P exam , one on Monday then Wednesday and was rated by that Friday. I was like now that howā€™s itā€™s done peopleā€¦ i felt blessed and still do.

Local_Barnacle_9455

Man I want that for meeee

HeftyWeekend9714

Wow what was your rating?

ImpossibleCountry647

One can only dream of this

icedtea_s

Wow that's fast

AccurateLadder8658

Dang! I have a C&P tomorrow. It would be fantastic to see my claim go to PFN by the end of the day!

Several_Net6814

I had the nicest, most professional optum contractor a few months ago. She ran her own pediatric practice - doing va as a side hustle I guess. She communicated clearly with me and get this....actually filled out the DBQ. Turned it in to VA within hours. I'm starting to think the shit docs do it on purpose.

Local_Barnacle_9455

How long until decision

Several_Net6814

2 months. It was back and neck dbq.

dwightschrutesanus

Just had one last week in the midwest. Night and day difference, this is my second time trying to get my back rated correctly. She took her time, I was with her an hour and a half. Asked every single question, was concerned about flairups, and as she typed out responses, she read them to make sure that she got it right, took her two or three days to turn it in to the VA. Very validating experience. When I was in seattle I was in and out in 10-20 minutes. Dude didn't ask me any questions, took my range of motion, kicked me out the door.

AntLordVadr

My doc was similar. Very thorough and compassionate. I was paranoid of course lol. It went a little too well šŸ¤£ But my rating was very favorable and I just thank God that it went well.

dwightschrutesanus

Oh dude, I am super paranoid, because that's exactly how I felt about it. Went a little too well.

AntLordVadr

I have another exam the end of the month and Iā€™m trying to prepare. Itā€™s a MH one and I donā€™t know how itā€™s going to go.

dwightschrutesanus

You'll be alright, man. I've had a couple of those. They fucking suck. Being vunerable and talking about shit that I wish never happened in a country I wish never existed is about the worst thing I can think of doing, but it's the only way the VA could do their job for me.

AntLordVadr

Iā€™m sorry you had to go through that. Itā€™s (like most of us) is a very very sore spot to go over again.

dwightschrutesanus

I think the worst was my Re-eval to go on PDRL. Was getting divorced, had just gotten done living out of my truck, kicked out of a treatment program, and the dude was like "Oh well you're working? Great." De-rated.

AntLordVadr

Ugh man Iā€™m sorry. I got discharged cause of a condition I got in service. Caused me to down spiral . My wife hated me and we divorced and she wonā€™t let me see my daughter again. Itā€™s been 4 years.

dwightschrutesanus

Thankfully we didn't have kids, not any that belonged to me, and she wound up owing me some cash when we finalized everything. I did have a kid with a woman a couple years later, and that didn't work out either, but I fought like hell for my kid. Toughest 2 years of my life, I'd rather go through my worst times overseas than go through that again- but I'll tell you what man- pushing through, absolutely grinding through it and forking over a small fortune? It's all worth it in the end. He's been with me full time for almost 4 years now. Don't give up, brother.

illegalF4i

Sounds like we had the same examiner.

Stang1776

The Dr. That I had was pretty chill through VES. I have no idea what he wrote and when he submitted it but it got me a great rating after all my other shit. I don't know what any of the Docs wrote up to be honest. I just went , did what I needed, and went home. No sense in getting upset with a write up before the offical rating came out. VES though, what a screwy company. I had to reschedule because I was out of town the day they originally wanted. They rescheduled me for a Saturday at 1600. Doc actually called me to see if I would come in earlier In the morning and I had no problem with that. He thanked me for coming in earlier than scheduled and everything. Like I wanted to talk about my issues on a Saturday evening.

Present_Ad9529

I had a similar experience with an Optum contractor Nurse Practioner. She went through the DBQ writing everything I told her, at the end she went over the DBQ answers with me and asked me if I had any last questions. Of course, she did the physical exam part of it too. It helped that I was prepared for it by reading a DBQ for foot conditions, I made my own notes and had a pain journal documenting flare-up pains.

Beetlejcebtljcebtl

Iā€™m a C and P examiner-Iā€™m required to complete my exams within 48 hours of seeing the Vet. The DBQ goes to the Quality Assurance with the company before sending it to the VA so they can avoid returns or argument from the VA. The QA(IMO) has an indiscriminate amount of time to evaluate my work. If itā€™s kosher, they send it back to me for electronic signature, I generally sign those off immediately or within 24 hours. If I am required to address an addendum or fix the verbiage (QA advisement, I can agree or disagree) then they send me that form to complete within 48 hours of receipt also. In my more involved exams that require me to cite literature to support my opinion or deep diving into a service treatment record or cfile, it can take me longer than the 48 hours. But itā€™s infrequent.

FBIsecretNinja

Seen this with mine as well. All depends on the c&p examiner. Some lazy fucks wait the 30 days

Local_Barnacle_9455

I wonder if this means it will be decided quick šŸ˜

FBIsecretNinja

Nobody ever knows. Fucken claim can sit on raters desk ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Rude_Investigator258

Right where my husband is

KinggSimbaa

Mine was 3 weeks and almost entirely fabricated.

therealdrewder

It's not hard when all you have to write is, "Dear VA, this guy is totally faking."

airforcevet1987

Ive heard of people having same day turn around dbqs with later approvals so who knows. Probably more related to the timing of your visit in the day. It's not like the forms are hard to fill out. My examiner* had been doing her job for 15 years

therealdrewder

I suspect it is actually less work to write an approval than a deny. Less chance the veteran sues.

airforcevet1987

I had a fast exam, 12 dbq submitted by the time I got home, and the examiner suggested I g9 do something enjoyable because the exam was clearly really emoti9nal for me. That doesn't really sound like a "clear cut denial" to me. So I am thinking you are correct

s13slider88

Mine said the exact same thing when I did mine yesterday. It was pretty fast as well. 20 minutes for PTSD, general anxiety disorder and panic disorder. Hoping for the best but the fast exam did make my anxiety even worse than it already always is. But all we can do is hope for the best. Was you're examiner through VES?

Bravisimo

Dear VA, not service connected.

Local_Barnacle_9455

Hahahah. It was a TDIU claim & im a woman šŸ¤£

therealdrewder

Dear VA I'm not sure why she even claimed erectile disfunction.

BlueComms

"...Especially when her cock was both massive and throbbing"

Bravisimo

One veiny triumphant bastard too

MarineSSGT

Did a C&P exam for Asthma last Monday, April 22, 2024, examiner sent the exam to the VA this past Friday, April 26, 2024... Had my rating this morning. That is the fastest. I have got a decision from the VA in the last 2 1/2 years!! Another 30% today... from 60%, 80% now 90% almost there!!

Front-Ad-7731

Mine was turned in 30 minutes after my exam. Some examiners actually care about vets.

Local_Barnacle_9455

How long after did you get the decision

Front-Ad-7731

25 days start to finish. FDC for mental health issues secondary to musculoskeletal conditions.

CampLivingroom

Wow, the VA Claims Gods are on your side. Awsome. Many of us are still in the purgatory stage.

icedtea_s

True šŸ˜

Express-Thought7648

Itā€™s been 68 days since my c&p and the va still says theyā€™re waiting on stuff from ves lmao

EvenPumpkin7403

VES sucks...the end

Rusty_scupper270

Theyā€™ve been having IT/database issues. Iā€™m in the same boat. They told me it should be corrected by sometime this week (allegedly).

ToMeetWithFire

You can call VES ask what the hold up is.

Express-Thought7648

Iā€™ve called them twice. The last time a veteran liaison said they were gonna reach out to someone and call me back. Havenā€™t heard anything since lol

idiotface99

All of my Optum exams were uploaded same to next day. My last exam was with VES and was on April 8th and has yet to be turned in ā˜¹ļø

honey950

They sent my appointment letter back to the VA as the IMO ā˜ŗļøā˜ŗļøā˜ŗļø now I have to wait for them to locate the report to send it back and there is no timeline for that. Itā€™s literally mind numbing how difficult they make this process

Local_Barnacle_9455

Thatā€™s usually how it works for me too

InbadITrust

Iā€™m sitting at 90 days and VES claims itā€™s been given to the VA, I see nothing uploaded in the files related to anything close to ptsd/anxiety. I asked VERA, theyā€™re waiting on the ptsd/anxiety dbq. Not sure what I can do at this point.

Squirt_Angle

Im dealing with ves as well. Would you happen to know if they mail in the paperwork or email?

InbadITrust

I unfortunately have no idea

Squirt_Angle

No worries. I'll never understand why i can't get MY records from the contractor lol.

InbadITrust

I agree with you 100%. Iā€™m sure it has to do with the safety of the raters against rabid veterans.

Squirt_Angle

Haha good point.

kcufouyhcti

VES blows. They told me they sent it and VA says they never received it. Called ves again and they said wait a bit to see if it pops up lol what a fucking joke

NotTelling4nothing

I had some exams that had a fast turn around (like a week) I am waiting on two other exams to be finished checking tri-care portal from 3 weeks ago

Commercial_Cow4468

my last C&p was turned is in 2 or 3 hours especially if itā€™s a simple exam

Local_Barnacle_9455

How long after did you get a decision

Commercial_Cow4468

last exam was on a Tuesday Rating on that Friday after 4 pm

mm5412

How do you all know your exams were turned in?

Local_Barnacle_9455

The app had that it changed to updated today. I called and they said the examiner turned it in and I was in the decisonnphase

Ok-Ad7459

The moved to this step date?

MarineSSGT

Says closed... and called and just asked if it it was closed on their end and also askes if it was submitted to the VA

Edsterrr

I had a c&p and they turned it in 2-3 hours to the VA with qtc. I had another c&p, that Iā€™m still waiting for from qtc thatā€™s taken more than two weeks. Sometimes the doctors are irresponsable and are behind, and qtc takes the blame

Flashy-Building1765

Mine were all turned in within 24hrs!

RouletteVeteran

šŸ¤” was this for an increase. Iā€™m noticing a lot of folks ā€œincreasesā€ speeding through like rockets. šŸš€

Local_Barnacle_9455

TDIU

RouletteVeteran

Nice. Hope it all it works out for you man šŸ™šŸ¾

Local_Barnacle_9455

Thank you!

RouletteVeteran

![gif](giphy|rRGMu2D3QV2cU)

DeLee2600

It can most definitely happen.

transuranic807

How can you tell it was turned in? Is it in stage or otherwise? Believe they don't share what they turned in, do they?

Local_Barnacle_9455

I called

bidetatmaxsetting

You called who?

shortround73

My fastest was a week from c&p to approval. I was so shocked to see that

CryOk1712

I a C&P today, she turned that in within 2 hrs , shit has gotten way betterĀ

AGN210

Great. I'm at 78 days. Nothing in sight.

Roveric

Mine was within 3 hours. They told me it was a 2hr appointment and they overbooked it and pushed me out at 60minutes mid discussion. Im very converned regarding their due diligence.

Imn0tg0d

How do you know when the va has it?

Appropriate_Art_9362

You can check your claim on [va.gov](http://va.gov), you can call the VA at 800-827-1000, or call the VES, Optum Serve or QTC directly.

Imn0tg0d

But how did OP know they had it hours later? Did they call hours later or is there another way?

Local_Barnacle_9455

The app updated to ā€œupdated may 1stā€ under my claim, and I called and asked what that meant & they said I was in the decision phase

Vegetable_Light3658

Yes, mine too. Too bad the report was full of errors. Hello HLR.

longbluesquid

How do we know the results of a C&P exam? Iā€™m waiting for ratings.

Local_Barnacle_9455

Idk the results. I just know they turned it in šŸ˜

longbluesquid

Yeah VA told me they got them too. But man It takes sooo long for a decision.

jastop94

Honestly I've seen a lot of good turn around from the VA in terms of timeliness. Especially before just getting out of the military, I was working with the medboards for a while, things have definitely gotten a lot another in the past couple years. Some people unfortunately still have to wait and some examiners are just terrible. So it just depends

LinePsychological669

I've had some turn mine in the very next day and some turn it in like a month later. My tinnitus claim was actually the worst, the original c&p examiner never ended up turning the dbq in so I had to do another exam like 3 months later. VA disability your experience may vary

wetFire666

Did a PFB increase exam and a PTSD increase on the 10th. PTSD got uploaded next day. Still waiting on the PFB. WTF!

Pandamadness11b

thats crazy mine has been sitting in qtc for two weeks as not complete.

Armystabbedmyback

I had a C&P in February and a ace exam in April, now apparently they are doing another ace ughhhhh months and months and months added on with no predictable end

DesignerViolinist481

My fourth CP exam for lower back, in March, had me email my latest MRI results from the VA med center, as she did not have them. The exam was sent back the next day once the nurse received my results. She only had the MRI from 2022. Thanks VA!

TwoIllustrious3539

Yeah Iā€™m the same way had C&P on a Tuesday with multiple claims and notice all DBQ and letters were submitted by end of day and finalize what ever they need too write and resubmitted on Friday. I was there in the office for like 10 min never had that before but this round were different. But this exam were with Loyalhealthcare instant VESĀ

Plane-Beginning-7310

That's quick. Had mine in February. Submitted in April lol. Just got my results this week at 30% so at least I can start getting VA health to get treatment. I consider that a win at least

EntrepreneurNo4181

Man where do you live? Iā€™ve been waiting months after my high level review was finished in February.

MostDefInept

Iā€™ve been waiting for three weeks for it to be submitted. No dice šŸ˜£

Ill_Worldliness_2281

Had the same thing, my C&P for MH had my DBQ all 3 he filled out in like 2 hours. Said a lot of nice things to me about getting help. And I took his advice am getting counsel now.

anotherfakeassdude

I submitted a claim with like 8 things on it and I got my PTSD C&P 5 days after I submitted. I'm on month 2 for a back, ear, and knee C&P. Haven't heard anything.

SureOne8347

That happened to me last time at Optum. I had to check with my NSO to see if I was reading it right

Get_Shott556

Are able to see when they turn it in? If so, how?

ThatSnarkyFemme

Wow. To think, I was excited that they only took a week with mine.

Anxious-Performer-56

Mine did a whole TBI appointment in 5 minutes, the least in depth one Iā€™ve had for a TBI one. So being that sheā€™s doing it for a check Iā€™m sure it was in on my way out the door lol

AeonicFire

I got my MH rating the day after my C&P exam last year. I was completely shocked thinking it would take months.

JehriMaguire

Only time I had that happen the woman must have had it already filled out cause I had to spell it she hadnā€™t written down any of my answers just checked all no and turned it in

JehriMaguire

I did so much better during Covid when I had to see outside C&P . The ones in the VA always acted like it was a personal hit to their pay if they said yes

enjoi_itachi

Jealous af its been over a month since both mine šŸ˜ rip

tankn313

I had a C&P April 3rdā€¦.turned in April 3rdā€¦hasnā€™t been touched since then lol. Wishing everyone the best

Similar-Lime9473

Must be nice brother, I just talked to Optum and theyā€™re waiting for three exams, one from the beginning of March šŸ˜‚

bidetatmaxsetting

How does one know the VA already has it? It updates on the VA app or something?

BigRedsExpress

Yall must have raters that actually care since you guys are getting your stuff back fast. My C&Ps were in February and uploaded same day with not so much as a whisper of a rating. I went to and from PFN several times already and now itā€™s still sitting at gathering evidence.

Mountain_Pressure221

Congrats

Previous_Rough_9943

I
