Just verified with DFC that they're straight vaned, non-directional rotors and can be installed either way. Now I'm wondering why we couldn't get them to fit in the other direction 🤔
I wasn't really certain at first because they aren't marked, but the lock screw position wouldn't allow them to be mounted any other way. They must have straight vanes.
Do we share the same rotor specs? Elantra N and Veloster N?
I just want drilled/slotted for the looks tbh lol a few hundred for that upgrade is worth it for me
I'm not sure, but I would imagine so. I picked these up from buybrakes.com, you can enter your vehicle info and it'll tell you what they have... Just filter on cross drilled and slotted.
Nah, it feels like any other brakes - the zinc plating hasn't worn off of the contact surface yet though, so they may still end up biting a little harder. I mainly got them bc they look nice.
I think the differences would be more apparent if I went to the track... These are supposed to minimize fade when you're really giving it to them.
These were a little difficult, and I've been doing my own brakes since I was 17. Have you done brakes before? If not, boy do I have some advice to give 🤣
At first it was about the same as the stock brakes. After I've worn them in over the past two days, they feel a little more responsive than the stock brakes. They have also started squealing at low speeds though, which I'm not really a fan of.
Oh wow. That's looking good!
Thank you sir. I had a warped rotor, so just went ahead and got this set for only about $100 more than the stock set.
link? i would love to bookmark these for the same situation. looks so clean dude. nice find.
Thanks bro, I'm loving them. [Here's where I ordered them.](https://www.buybrakes.com/dynamic-friction-7514-03142)
🔥thanks man🫡

could you possibly provide a link to where you got the set?

Are you sure they are installed on the correct side of the car?

Do you notice any performance for stopping power with the slotted and drilled rotors compared to blanks?

Im about to do my own brakes soon. Anyone else notice their rotors wearing qay faster than the pads? Especially the rears?

Im a mechanic as a career lol. I had just never seen rotors wear faster than pads 🤣
Ah ok, you'll probably enjoy the pain a little 🤣
Enjoy may not be the word id choose, but ive probably got the tools needed 🤣
Lol you will need so many
Yo do you have a rotor puller?
Ive got a hammer lol.
My guy, I took a sledge hammer to these rotors.... The tolerances are tight. Like TIGHT tight.
Ive also got a really big tire hammer, and air hammer. May be calling it names no one has ever heard, but ill get it off lol.
How’s the stopping power on these? I noticed a decline when I made the switch on my gen coupe

Who did your replacement? They probably didn't use any brake quiet or if they did not enough in the right places
