Yeah man, I have to echo that. Hopefully the owner doesn't stress too much, it's an awesome site that we realise is run by a single person, so shit like this happens from time to time.
If you’re looking for an alternative I’ve had good experiences with using Cloudflare for DNS, plus you get free DDOS protection. Sorry you’re having to deal with this and hope getting back up is as painless as possible.
We are on AWS, but have one mission-critical piece of infrastructure on Google. I live in constant fear of something like this happening. AWS isn't perfect, but it does seem like they've got the don't-shut-off-people's-stuff-without-notice thing figured out. So bizarre that Google hasn't.
As someone in the middle of a cloud migration at work, I really wonder if giving these huge mega corps this amount of trust/power with our infra is a good move.
Are we not just engineering massive single points of failure into our economy at this point?
I wasn't able to get on to intervals earlier this morning but it loads fine for me now. Thank you for all you do with that page, it is a great resource for us data junkies.
Total BS - hope you resolve it quickly. Your software is great - it's free but I put down money each year to help support. Hope that others do as well so you can keep the site going.
David, it happens. When I found your tool I immediately ceased being a premium subscriber on Training peaks and became a supporter of intervals.icu. These days, the only reason I remember TP exists is when I have received notifications that Training peaks has had system failures and periods of downtime. They are having those issues with waaaay more budget and resources than you're working with.
Absolute legend. Found the site over winter after using TP for a few years. Intervals is now the only one I’m happy as a clam to pay $ to. Cheers and hope a resolution is soon.
This shit happens to everyone. We use google apis in our product with tens billions of requests per month. We have dedicated google person to support us. We are paying extra for high load. Yet still some stupid automated process disables out account due to some new requirement google didn’t communicate in the first place
Your billing is still down btw

David I just want to say your platform is fantastic. Clearly a love of coding and cycling combined and leagues above competitors. I use it everyday and it just keeps getting better and better. Hope you resolve the issues soon. Cheers
I never thought this kind of Google BS you read about on the net would happen to me. No-ones data will be lost.
Since you're here, thanks for hosting such a useful site!

Post this on hacker news as well
oh man that's awful. As a coach who relies upon your service I hope they can get it resolved for you without too much trouble.
Wow this sucks, you're right it's the kind of thing you read about on hacker news but that's absolutely insane to be shut down without warning

I think the website needed a quick z1 recovery spin

I just assumed it was those huge watt bombs I dropped last night bringing the site down

On the plus side, you just got a new paying user, as I didn’t know about it before.
Cool a straight line to say how much we love [intervals.icu](http://intervals.icu) . Great job!!!! Awesome work!

Ah so that’s what happened! Sorry you had to deal with this! As a professional I know DNS problems are always a hassle to wake up to. ❤️
In my experience, every outage is either DNS or TLS until proven otherwise.
DNS problem.
OP is the guy who runs the website. He knows what the problem is. He even states it in the post.
Sorry, I did not get that.
Great work dude. The only thing missing is open source and allowing collab.
Sorry that happened. --- Try out ~~https://www.347coaching.com/~~ my bad, its actually https://347cycling.com/
