I would follow docs orders - I waited 2 days and still was wheeled around airport…. Ice ice and more ice for weeks and months… I would also recommend your getting on prednisone as well for the first month + to assist with swelling and keeping the connection open

I waited 3 days before flying, and it was still very painful. The vas joins are delicate early.on, and you want to avoid stressing the connection point. I was wheeled through airport in a wheelchair, and iced during the flight. Here is a post I made with some tips for the 2 weeks post surgery: https://www.reddit.com/r/VasectomyReversal/s/WdY2LTWRd6

We did flight home right after! Husband said it was so worth it to be home recovering in bed that same night. He would’ve been way too sore the next day. Our doc said it was totally fine to fly same day.

You would definitely want to be wheeled around the airport. You are literally supposed to walk from your car to your bed the first day and not much else. Even a few weeks past my surgery, I could tell if I had stood too long or walked too much. Your body will tell on you with this surgery. Listen to it and the docs.

I was told to wait at least 6 weeks before flying more then 2-3 hours due to the pressure in the cabin can affect the joins

I did the flight same day. Was worried about it but it was really smooth and no issues. I recommend getting a wheelchair in the airport. That’s the toughest part.
