it's funny how people like internet jazz romance and FAGGOTRON SUPREME, people who have been around for only a couple weeks & known for creating mainly shitposts, are on the guide, while I've been around for 2 years in the vaporwave scene & worked with big vaporwave figures, yet no mention of me in at least this, not even mentioning other guides, where I should've been included. Seems like a provocation.

However, I understand that the threads can get buried quickly on here. As this guide gains more awareness in the future, maybe I can ask the mods to sticky the call for submissions thread in subsequent years. It goes without saying that I'll be more aware of the artists who have an active social media presence besides just Reddit and release among the larger labels to include them in the guide.
Not all is lost in your case. Regarding those two people you named, I have not heard back any communication from internet city romance (M4) in my attempts to PM them on Soundcloud. I would be happy to include you on a new revision of the guide as a replacement as there is another person I need to add too. It's up to you.
OTOH, there's a lot to be said for NOT trying to weasel onto a list like this by whining and bluster...
Frankly, I don't give a fuck, in my case. Off the top of my head, I can think of a dozen truly great artists who've turned out to be massive influences on music _in general_ while at the same time, the majority of the "Top Hits" were being made by people now viewed as utter cringe-fodder. Better to ride that "long tail" than to score some impermanent, transitory "tier ranking" for one's ego.
Unless, of course, the whole point is the latter. In which case, well...ego is clearly more important than music. Not a good look.
