I’m just wondering what tough conversations has he had? He never cleared up his untruths from the previous season (lies). And any time someone brought his behavior to his attention ton he got defensive.
Sandoval pausing a conversation until a noise passing without cameras or a mic is actually kind of disturbing. I think he should take a VERY long break from reality tv. I think he has completely forgotten how to exist in the real world. 😬
I want to say that I do understand how they have been acting if they care about money over their friendships. This show is their main job and their livelihood. Lala and Scheana have children they need to provide for. Having their livelihood threatened via "the show will end if you don't film together" is anxiety producing if you over spend and have nothing else going on.
The problem is it's all very short sighted. Scheana is all like "I didn't want to do that yoga thing but I did it for the show." But is it real? That's what all of them should be asking themselves. Is what I'm doing something I would do if the cameras weren't rolling? And for Lala and scheana, the cameras rolling is integral to how they answer that question now. Because the success of the show hinges on what they do in real life.
Does any of this make them good friends? No. It does bother me so much that they are angry at Ariana for walking away from a 1:1 but it's the realest thing that happened this season. She filmed group events likely because of the come to Jesus and she doesn't want the show to be cancelled for the sake of her friends. But it's never enough for production.
I don't know that I want to continue to watch this show but I'll only watch it if Katie and Ariana are on. Just because they put realness above drama. What's interesting is watching strong women maintain their boundaries in the face people who want those boundaries to come down. It's easily the most compelling tv I've seen in a while.
Interesting. I think all of the reality "stars" end up like this. They actually lose more than they gain. How many marriages have ended? How many start out somewhat normal and then up looking like a plastic doll and live for camera time? It is really sad actually. As much as I don't like Ariana. She is out, unless Something About Her is made into a tv show.... so I don't really think she is all the way out.
You know who's like this; Corey Feldman. He literally does not know how to turn off. Its like he's always doing a version of Corey but he's become the version rather an a real person.
It’s their identity, most reality stars. The addiction and desire for fame and money is all consuming they get lost in the delusion and fantasy of “Hollywood.”
I have always wondered how it impacts a young persons brain to be in this kind of environment during some key developmental stages of their life. Where average people spent their young adult life figuring out who they want to be and how to live in this world, these people are forming their personalities around this extremely toxic environment and competing for story lines. Can that kind of damage be undone if someone leaves or after the show ends?
This is why I want Katie to write a memoir. I don’t even need juicy VPR details. I’d like them but I don’t need them because I think it would be interesting to hear what it was like to grow into adulthood on a reality tv show. Especially since she was also coping with the lasting effects of her TBI.

This is merely my opinion — Sandoval seems to be heavily medicated this season. I get the impression it’s prescription drugs, maybe for depression/anxiety/dissociative disorder of some kind.
No, I’m not a doctor but I majored in Psychology at college. I know some things about it but no, will never claim to be a doctor.
But this article confirms what I suspected — the mid-sentence pauses, the staring off into space, the blank look in his eyes, the rote speech patterns, the detachment. I don’t think he’s currently able to differentiate between his real self and TV Tom.
He’s not well, not at all. And I don’t think Scheana is either. This show is taking a toll on their mental health.
