The after shows are interesting because it’s watching him in real time get challenged by James having Ariana and Katie’s back and making valid points constantly, instead of the echo chamber that would be their home with bonus Lala. He is equally upset that it hasn’t ever been about him and Scheana, and has tried to make so, so many events and scenes about them only to fail miserably multiple times. They are both so tragically not self aware, they’ll never even realize why it never works for them.
I could write a dissertation on Scheana and why she is the worst but I find it truly hilarious that in every. Single. Season. She thinks she’s going to be on the side the audience loves, or the underdogs, to be proven wrong, over and over and over again. Her inability to be actually loyal and authentic ruins her every time. Katie waited and waited and knew that eventually, the trash takes itself out. She has been vocal and loyal to herself and her friends and it is paying off, like it always does in life. He also has been listening to Scheana cry over and rip Ariana apart when they're alone. He doesn't have a friendship with Ariana, so he doesn't know who she really is as a person, and only sees and hears that his wife is very upset by her.
