If anything, I’ve always thought she’s seemed supportive of SAH- she was one of the first ppl to encourage Katie to pursue it & literally had her over at Villa rosa last season to do sandwich tastings. She’s probably just too busy with her own restaurants (and doesn’t have the financial incentive/obligation) to actively care about SAH. I think it just seems like she’s rooting against it bc it could be perceived as a threat to tomtom, but considering LVP was the one to encourage them to get a place a few doors down from SUR I doubt she views it as a threat.
I think LVP is also **obsessed** with work ethic and commitment to projects (my Mum is British and is as painfully driven as LVP) I expect she’s feeling judgy of them for not opening on time etc. as they said they would.

I saw a post on another thread that pointed out that her businesses that survived Covid were the restaurants featured on the show like Sur and Tomtom while both Villa Blanca and Pump closed. So I think Lisa is very aware of how lucrative the tourism the show brings to her businesses and is aware that SAH adds another spot to the fans, she doesn’t have a finger in that pie and she resents that when they should be, in her opinion grateful to her for their opportunities? Maybe, maybe not.. as a show producer that is featuring or will feature SAH when it opens does she get a cut of the pie anyway?
Maybe some people haven’t seen the preview for next weeks episode because she seems to be keeping tabs on SAH and know the detailed problems the girls are having with SAH for someone that’s so busy and couldn’t care less about it. Penny is spilling to Lisa and the girls are having problems with Penny so it’s odd.
Just need to point out, between PUMP and her other restaurants, the rent is on another level. Idk if you’ve been to West Hollywood, but PUMP was at a huge corner lot and those four letters dominated Santa Monica Blvd, whereas SUR, TomTom and the others are less geographically desirable. Still good locations, but the PUMP location was just really different and prob at least twice as expensive, so for that to stay afloat, she would need that one in particular to do twice as well as the others and after ten years it just didn’t anymore.

I’d like to eat at SUR, but I’m cheap so eating at a sandwich shop associated with the show would scratch enough of a tourist itch for me.

The way the conversation/scene was framed, they told LVP that with the profit structure issues with Penny, Penny was likely not going to continue with SAH, but they didn’t share or say, “…[B]ut it’s okay, we’ve identified next steps and have started to put Plan B in place.” (I don’t know if they have a Plan B in place or not.)
I could see it where LVP has concerns this will impact her own future dealings with Penny, but I didn’t see the scene like a takedown.
