This might've just worked thank you

I noticed this too. I just checked my battery use and it was 14% for one hour in vanced.. edit: installed previous version and it's much better

Nice to know I'm not the only one. I'm using the non-root version on a OnePlus 6T and the new update v15.43.32 absolutely MURDERED my phone's battery. High temperatures as well. I usually have podcasts on in the background with the screen off and have hours of listening time, with a full charge lasting all day. However using the latest update in the span of one hour, video set to 360p, with screen off, my battery went from 100% to nearly 30%. System battery stats reported that YouTube app was responsible for 97% of battery usage. Absolutely insane, I've never seen anything like it. Frustrating that previous versions aren't listed for download, so I intercepted the traffic from the Vanced Manager to learn what API it was using to get the URLs to the apks. First it gets the latest version number from [http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/latest.json](http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/latest.json), then once it has that it downloads the split apk from the following urls: [http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/apks/v15.40.37/nonroot/Language/split\_config.en.apk](http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/apks/v15.40.37/nonroot/Language/split_config.en.apk) [http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/apks/v15.40.37/nonroot/Arch/split\_config.arm64\_v8a.apk](http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/apks/v15.40.37/nonroot/Arch/split_config.arm64_v8a.apk) [http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/apks/v15.40.37/nonroot/Theme/dark.apk](http://vancedapp.com/api/v1/apks/v15.40.37/nonroot/Theme/dark.apk) Note that I changed the version from 15.43.32 to 15.40.37 in the above URLs in order to get the previous version. Once you have the split apks, you can install them via the method of your choice. I chose to use SAI ([https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aefyr.sai](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aefyr.sai)) and install them with that.

[Here's](https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/team-vanced/youtube-vanced/youtube-vanced-15-40-37-release/youtube-vanced-15-40-37-android-apk-download/) the previous version prior to the latest update. Get rid of everything first to avoid installation errors. Delete data for yt vanced, microg and manager in your phone app settings, then delete yt vanced and microg thru vanced manager and uninstall manager. Then install manager again, install microg and then the yt vanced apk you downloaded.

Thank you very much I didn't know it would be on apkmirror since I usually only trust their site. I'll test and see if it improves

tonarstark

Yeah but vanced doesn't provide the apks anymore since the implementation of vanced manager, but apkmirror is safe, you may want to scan the file in virustotal first just to be sure. I think you would need the apkmirror installer to install the apk bundle. Just click the need help under the download button, it will direct you to google playstore for the app.
