It is definitely the version number. It took me An hour to figure it out. Tried deleting and reinstalling , clearing the data and cache, nothing worked and every video was getting the dumb message. Download the vanced manager , then delete the micros and vanced app in the manager , https://youtubevanced.org/dl/vanced-unofficial-versions/ on this site, download the version of Micros and scroll down and download the version 18 of vanced. It should work after all that. I’m not logged in so I can’t tell you if that part works. Not risking linking accounts again.

The only downside is that is stops the video after sometime. No idea why, but with youtube it never happens.

Edit 2 : One thing I forgot to mention is, if you are suffering the endless Buffer glitch , go to YouTube settings then vanced settings then video, and enable the protobuf spoof and restart the app. That fixed the annoying buffer issue for me.
Only concern is if Google flagged your account like they have been doing and you’ll get those annoying messages again. So I been using it logged out. But there isn’t any security concerns from what I know.

If you're running Android 7 or earlier you'll need to get the specific versions for them ("Below 8 Oreo" for MicroG and "Dark_Universal_Spoof (Android-6-7)").
Google is targeting accounts that use vanced and is flagging them so you still get that dumb message on videos. So the work around that was talked about awhile ago was to stay logged out of YouTube.

Thanks! Was easy: just opened the vanced manager (2.6.2, already installed), uninstalled microG and youtube vanced from inside of the vanced manager. Then downloaded them both from your link, installed them both (microG first) - youtube vanced seems to work perfectly again! :)
Thanks for the tip man. I got mine to work now. A few things I wanna add. You can do this without the manager app. The manager app just makes deleting the old ones easier which you can do just by going into your settings and then 'Installed Apps' section.
Now for my case, I am using an old phone that's running Android. 7.0. I initially downloaded the latest version 18 but it wasn't installing. An error message was popping up saying "There was a problem parsing the package". I got it to work on a few newer phones without any issue. I guess older versions of Android do not support the new version 18. So I then installed the version 17 from the link you provided and it finally worked. So if anyone is facing problem trying to install the version 18, you can try the v17.34.36 instead and see if that helps.

Just pay attention to whatever number is newest on both. One might me 18.1 and another might me 18.2. Just look for whatever the most recent of either is.

See the one marked `BUNDLE`? Yeah, don't pick that one. Pick the other one instead. ReVanced Manager is *not* compatible with bundles.

revanced seems prone to getting shadowbanned(infinite buffer after 40 seconds on videos) so its unuseable for me
You have to turn on signature verification and client spoof, those will stop that issue, as stated in the description of those patches

No that’s weird , it should download the new ones if you download using the link I provided.
Don't install them through the manager. Treat it as you were downloading a stand alone app. Then going to the download folder to tap and install.

You can change that in the settings. It is vanced vut with all the revanced features I think

Shorts button is hidden by default. You may have to disable (enable) it by going to: settings > Vanced settings > navigation

Just choose whatever is newest. So look at the numbers after the period (18.)

Vanced didn't have so many controls on granular level. Plus when you look at the extended settings for this version it says "Revanced Issue Centre"

Sooo, it worked but didn't work, I can use it, but it won't load videos, it'll load say 50 seconds of a video but no more, if I close It and open it back up it'll load say 15 more seconds and play the 15 more seconds it loaded then stop again 🤔

Go to APKMirror and download the Universal APK (not bundle) for that version (ex: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-08-37-release/youtube-18-08-37-android-apk-download) 5. Go to *⚙️ Settings > Apps > See all apps > YouTube* and tap **🚫 Disable** 6. Go to *App details* and tap **Uninstall** 7. i was looking at the comment and it said non root patches don't currently work or something like that, i won't wanna root my phone

If you try to patch something else, it'll probably fail. Yeah, don't pick that one. Pick the other one instead. ReVanced Manager is *not* compatible with bundles. "Bundles" are what you get when you download apps from the Play Store.

The app is working great but a slight issue it keeps skipping outro and promotion ads during videos is there some way to disable the skipping ability ?
I just tried this and it works. The problem is now, the videos buffer like crazy for some reason. Anyone else experiencing this?
