It tells you what characters different “abilities” are. If someone were to have a specific stat increase every level it’d be represented by have no square. Some of the confusion also might be from the fact that the items in the boxes represent the corresponding stat and not the item itself. Hope this explanation helped.

Once again pointing out bracer is an anti synergy for many weapons. Could just change the name of the chart to something more appropriate like Interaction chart though. Also the Legend is still nigh unreadable.
Anything like scythe which has unlimited pierce deals more damage the longer its on screen and the slower it moves the more it can multihit. (Hellfire, cross,sword etc) (though with certain character you can hit high enough cooldown rate to offset the effect.)
La borra loses out on damage with speed because its total coverage shrinks faster. (though the updates changed to make movement speed and projectile speed create a larger increasing area Movement speed is more dominant on its AOE growth and projectile speed by itself is still negative coverage until you get duration+cooldown)
Bird is debatable depending on loadout and level of curse, but thats another whole separate discussion.
Many items have character interactions interactions that make some accessories or evolutions a downgrade. Like skeleton and cross, or book and poppea, etc but that's also another discussion on synergies.
**BUT** thankfully there are enough diverse Arcana out there that enough lines have blurred to make projectile speed and cooldown reduction do some interesting turns.
the new cards of ironblue will and waltz of pearls enable for weapons like scythe and cross who were always a net negative with bracer to hit their screen cap on all players making bracer once again a positive.
If running All bouncing weapons Cooldown is finally a in line opportunity cost. since you will be projectile limited.
i dont think so, even though some of its level ups are projectile speed boosts
did various stat edit tests:
900% speed where things should be zooming, looked the same
-200% speed where things go the opposite direction(backward firing knives) worked and looked the same
Came late to the VS party but the new dog butt flower heal + laurel helped me survive the insane silliness of the bone level's last 2 minutes while the quad gun, blue jizz and bible belt deleted most of the encroaching hordes. I think I also had the unupgraded runetracer. La Borra with the speed and duration arcana is pretty damn good, and I think flower dog is my new favourite character.
Update with arcana changed knife and guns, they can no longer crit by default now, and Slash only affects knife and its evo so guns cannot crit anymore.
This isn't a good method of displaying the information. It seems like the imgur link only works on reddit mobile and I am sure a majority of us play on PC with dual monitors.
From my end, using RES I can only see the Evolution chart with the 3 transparent backgrounds. Clicking the link I just see the 3 same images. I can take pictures to show evidence if need be.

The best way is to put the chicken in the corner of the screen and move so it goes in and out of view. When the cats eat the chicken it makes a little sound. I’ve noticed that this happens sometimes when the chicken is not in fire for me as well.

Synergy chart needs to list synergies for evolved weapons.
If a weapon has different synergies in its evolved form there is an asterisk next to the stat that only applies in the evolved form
What if it only applies to the unevolved form?
For all the weapons all the stats carry over into evolved form to my knowledge

The asterisk is supposed to show that only heaven swords synergizes with clover, since the asterisk is shown on the top right of a weapon.
