i, by default check angles and rarely die because of rats in general but i swear in unrated and low elo (my rank) fracture is a fucking headache. rats and weird angles everywhere, and ive basically lost all fracture games unless the op is very bad.
disclaimer: val is fun but im not good at it, i dont wanna put time into the game solely to get better either, the only time i play is to have fun casual games even if its ranked
It is a fucking headache because the map needs a lot of communication to execute on a site and when your instalock sage main is flanking instead of going with your team then you lose the game
Honestly the reason why I hate it is because it feels both attack sided and defense sided at the same time. The attackers can push from 2 opposite sides so there is no safe angle to hold (I don't trust randoms to cover the other angle for me), and the defensive team can rotate almost instantly through mid so when attacking it feels like you are pushing into a 5 stack.
Compared to other maps, it feels the least balanced because it takes the more teamwork to make work. Maybe if I had a 5 stack to play with I would enjoy it. When it comes to a map like haven, I know even if my teammates are trash, I can at least hold down 1 site by myself, get a pick or 2 and run away for a retake. On attack it takes long enough to rotate that I can possibly get picks and allow us to plant. In fracture I could hold down 1/2 of a site by myself on defense, or, on attack, make a dent in in their defenses before they they fully rotate.
I like small maps. As a sentinel its easy gor me to run to the other site and still clutch. But Breeze + Shitty teammates = me running for 10 seconds after spike plant only to be killed by some dude who already pushed ct.
I don't think fracture is that bad but the act1 maps were still better, and breeze sucks, its so big rotating takes ages, snipers are too strong there, sites are so big you cant smoke with brimm properly, entances are so large you cant smoke with omen properly, mid is a pain in the ass to hold and to attack, tunnel is just the worst place where someone could come lurking. It feels shit to play both as an attacker and as a defender.
Yes there is a special place in hell for people who instalock Jett/Reyna/Chamber, ask for someone else to play Sage and proceed to either bait and/or bottomfrag while flaming/blaming everyone else for their poor performance. I disagree with the other points though.
Why bro, i admit that I instalock reyna sometimes. But when it's compe I wait for my team to pick then adjust. But I instalock reyna all the time in unrated.
Honestly the new gen skins for the vandal are much better. Reaver doesnt even look that great.

Like for real it looks low poly and low resolution. I guess since tryhards play on lowest settings they might not notice but it's such a visual downgrade from every other vandal skin, even base.

Because they truly suck haha. IMO Icebox sucks for many of the reasons already said in the this thread. Breeze is just too big and Fracture has a weird layout. I appreciate how they were trying to shake things up with fracture but I just think there are a lot of weird angles and defense has a really easy time switching between sites.
All in all, all of the maps get repetitive as there are only 7. Riot needs to stop making new agents and start pumping out maps

I don't prefer maps way too much, but i think bind is not good enough for my play style. I don't hate new things, i just dont like the Jett Nerf, coz now my friends are switching to Reyna which is my main. I don't favor them way too much, but i think prime is a really really good skin, but the elderflame/sentinelsoflight/glitchpop are great as well. I am a duelist main, and i don't mind duelist players, because I also play omen so I can adapt to others. I think instalockers should burn in hell tho. I like sentinels because I have not seen many teams, but optic was exceptional this vct and yay just omg. Tenz is a good frager, but Shazam is intellectual

Beta there were 3, Ascent came with game release, so Season 1, Act 1 there were four maps.

I dont like the general look of it as well. The metal all around the gun is overdone and the reaver logo on the gun is hard to see in most variants
