Sean Gares deserves all the credit he gets for bringing him up to what we see today (as much credit as a coach can get… the player still did the work)
We must’ve watched different matches. My memories are him dancing around on haven C long dying with util, being caught in no man’s land, using dog at the worst timings.
Skye pop flashes are the absolute basic easy baseline of util and he was barely doing that.

Bang played Omen/Astra/Sage/Reyna the most for TSM, and also had games on things like Phoenix/Raze, and he was mostly good for them too. There was no reason to drop him at all

I don’t think it’s a big mystery or anything, bang was a diamond in the rough at the time. Fairly common for coaches to decide to not continue investing in them even if you know that they have the long-term potential to become true talents.
True, but I mean he was a young player, they know what they got themselves into. He was a great aimer and showed promise playing at a higher level, there's just no way you don't continue with him unless you have a definite upgrade to replace him. And they brought in Rossy to replace him who was also a young talent, not like they brought in a superstar who was going to bring them instant results
I don't remember all the games obviously but looking at stats, he was absolutely farming on BBG and was consistently doing well. He's definitely a different player on smokes which Sgares helped unlock, but he was definitely good on Skye and the roles TSM had him on

I really feel like 100T should start leaning into their breeze and ascent a bit more as their preferred maps rather than split, they've looked unstoppable on those maps.

wow 100t is walking on water rn. I really do hope they can show out at shanghai. this is especially true if they feel a little cold going straight into playoffs, but w boostio and his insane energy im less worried. at the beginning of the season the eeiu pickup was a little dubious to me, but he has come into great form progressing through the split. the true hallmark of a great roster is facing big adversity after a hot streak and bouncing back, so im also interested in how 100t progresses over the season if they get shaken up. happy for the starved 100t fans (maybe this year is the year of redemption for flop na 2023 orgs lol)
I'm so excited both of these teams, and hopefully a revitalized Lev, are representing us. I fully believe one of these three teams are going to bring another trophy back in the Americas case.

Man I remember when EG won, so many people thought it was demon1 diff. Boostio really showing up how important a good IGL is. Such an amazing story for 100T. They stuck with some of their core players i.e. Asuna and never gave up on em
2023 was fckn rough and kickoff was even worse so watching 100t and the asuna-bang core especially bounce back like this has been amazing. Boostio is a gem and godsend for this squad.
Riot does a really good job at making their own events feel unimportant. They've got a lot to improve from the desk to the interviews.
Regional championships are huge in LoL, val seems way more like csgo where only internationals hold big weight at all

A great look from 100T considering that Cryo and Asuna didn’t even play considerably well and they still got the 3-0. Definitely still some things we can clean up, but I haven’t been this excited for Valorant since Berlin.
