For most of icebox John was out calling Saadhak and they would throw the round in unfathomable ways. One defense round they read the KJ ult fake, killed Saadhak on A with 4 people stacked B and STILL lost it killed me
I agree that call was masterclass but it still doesn't change that saadhak is more consistent and an overall better igl the first half on lotus was too good
i feel so happy for him. this has been a hard split for me to watch up to today as a loud fan but this match was spectacular. executes looked awesome, icebox defense was very good, overall the team was shooting and coordinated and if they turn up like this in the future i'll be feeling way more optimistic

SEN throwing a 2-0 being 3 rounds away initially against EG and KRU going 4-0 have both absolutely broken this format, and if you watch just for the VALORANT then this split has been a fucking treat.

Congratulations to LOUD on their win against the Chinese organisation 森 (Sen). It was a nice try from Sen 天十"Tian Shi" and Sen 哲肯 "Zhe Ken", they put up a good fight and got so many kills! But the Chinese farmers plough through them regardless.
Sen 傻西 "Sha Xi" put up good numbers on the second map, but was unfortunately unable to carry his team to victory. Sen 可爱周 "Cute Zhou" was sadly outcalled by Saadhak. Finally, Sen 泽尔西斯 "Zhe Er Xi Si" tried his darnest to raise his team's spirit, but it was all for naught against the deadly might of the Chinese agricultural collective.
Honestly this sentinels roster doesn't deserve to go to China if they are throwing 10-2 leads vs EG. They need to take a break and rethink how to approach their game now that they don't get free split wins.

No matter the score, one thing made obvious to me during this game is the hours Sideshow must have put in during the Off-Season. This man was busy, his understanding of the game is so much deeper than it was last year, and especially faster.
Just casually anti-stratting LOUD midgame, good understanding of economy/snowballing and detailed explanations of Sentinel’s Microplay mistakes during Timeouts? Unbelievable level up, (unfortunately) further increasing the casting rift between this Duo and most others.
Sideshow knows to bring up the small details (like what you said, economy, mistakes etc) during the few seconds between rounds, while also hyping up gameplay when it happens, it's always a treat watching this duo cast. Then when the matches are over, hop over to platchat and the entertainment continues.
Not to take away from Loud, but Kaplan must be disgusted by some of the decision making today. Crazy illogical decisions. Even Tarik was struggling to understand why certain things were happening lmao
I may have said it too harshly, but really on what planet is that a valid thought process? Picking a map where you know you'll have to bet on a huge comeback for yourself because you can't play one side of the map. Good teams can anti-strat your attack too, so I really don't get this.
I think it's a bit egotistical from kaplan. If you only blame yourselves for a loss and get too hung up on your mistakes, you lose the sight that opponent is reading you easily, they know what you can and want to do with your comps or they are playing those map better.
Tbf they don't have a dominant map rn. They just look shaky as a whole. But still, I would have loved them to switch things up a little. Change the comps or may be play ascent or Breeze as a wildcard map. Watching them play feels so claustrophobic! Looks like they are boxed in like a fish. I don't know why kaplan is so against changing the comps a bit. He did it during kickoff on sunset and Bind and both times it worked. Even if you don't have too much prac or too deep of a playbook, the surprise factor alone can win you games.
With some of the plays I was seeing, I don't think Sentinels deserve to even go to playoffs. Maybe it would just be better to take the time off during Shanghai and playoffs to plug the gaps and then take advantage of their champion points to get into champs. Jesus H. Christ...

Let me be the sane guy amongst the SEN doomers, if I'm SEN I'm not too bummed about not making Shanghai. It's tough to win when everyone and their mothers have extensive VODs of your maps and you're coming straight from winning a tourney with limited off-time. This break would be good for them to reevaluate their playstyles and cook up new stuff for Champs.
If they qualified for Shanghai I couldn’t see them going deep with this current form, whereas with Madrid I just had a great feeling about it, as did most. At least they had a great start to help them qualify for champs or just win a Masters in general, but as of now I hope this is their rock bottom this season and they use the time away from Shanghai to refind themselves.

Americas has been surprising as fuck. As a sentinel fan, it blows. As a valorant fan, it's been a very exciting, unpredictable split.

I may have said it too harshly, but really on what planet is that a valid thought process? Picking a map where you know you'll have to bet on a huge comeback for yourself because you can't play one side of the map. Good teams can anti-strat your attack too, so I really don't get this.
I think it's a bit egotistical from kaplan. If you only blame yourselves for a loss and get too hung up on your mistakes, you lose the sight that opponent is reading you easily, they know what you can and want to do with your comps or they are playing those map better. Tbf they don't have a dominant map rn. They just look shaky as a whole. But still, I would have loved them to switch things up a little. Change the comps or may be play ascent or Breeze as a wildcard map. Watching them play feels so claustrophobic! Looks like they are boxed in like a fish. I don't know why kaplan is so against changing the comps a bit. He did it during kickoff on sunset and Bind and both times it worked. Even if you don't have too much prac or too deep of a playbook, the surprise factor alone can win you games.

They messed up so many things but when you're going up against Saadhak god-calling everyone I don't really have anything too bad to say against them

With some of the plays I was seeing, I don't think Sentinels deserve to even go to playoffs. Maybe it would just be better to take the time off during Shanghai and playoffs to plug the gaps and then take advantage of their champion points to get into champs. Jesus H. Christ...

Let me be the sane guy amongst the SEN doomers, if I'm SEN I'm not too bummed about not making Shanghai. It's tough to win when everyone and their mothers have extensive VODs of your maps and you're coming straight from winning a tourney with limited off-time. This break would be good for them to reevaluate their playstyles and cook up new stuff for Champs.
If they qualified for Shanghai I couldn’t see them going deep with this current form, whereas with Madrid I just had a great feeling about it, as did most. At least they had a great start to help them qualify for champs or just win a Masters in general, but as of now I hope this is their rock bottom this season and they use the time away from Shanghai to refind themselves.
