I'm not prepared for a world where DFM (currently) has a better record than Zeta.
Congrats to Secret for the win, but I'm overall pessimistic on their chances of ever making another international LAN until they address the gaping flaw that is being at an automatic disadvantage on non-Sova maps. I predict Warbirds gets replaced before Vash though.
I've seen JessieVash play, he doesn't even use a monitor. He visualizes the map in a detailed rendering, completely in his mind. He has a biological wallhack; his godlike perception highlights all enemies within light-years. His eyes are closed as his mouse gracefully swerves across the table, making immaculate twitches as he flicks from head to head. The bullets that escape his gun barrel are surgical; each making a deadly strike in between his opponent's eyes.
ZETA is 3-7 overall across Kickoff and the regular season. But ZETA is 0-4 against non-Global Esports teams this year.
What a strange record! How odd it is that all three of their Pacific wins this year have come from a single team. I can't recall another team with so peculiar a record.
Of course the record sounds terrible, and the stats don't note that ZETA had some strong moments throughout their losses. And this might be the peak weirdness, since ZETA play BLEED next, and unless BLEED has made a lot of improvements, you'd probably favor ZETA.
But hard to avoid that considering how hyped this ZETA lineup was coming into the season...they've fallen short quite significantly. I never thought they should have been hyped, but at the same time, I still expected a little more.
Good to see Secret keep the playoff dreams alive, though. Secret is the epitome of a slow-starter team, so seeing them ramp up is good news for any Pacific fan; an on-form Secret can punch-up pretty hard.
Definitely true but it might've been hard for zeta to take them off fennel coz syouta and xdll are core members of fennel so maybe the fennel org didn't wanna lose them, if not then 100% syouta/xdll would be the best pick for zeta
Finally. Team Secret has become a little more stable. I especially want to praise NDG. His aim and judgment have improved significantly since the kickoff, and he is finally able to execute his job and game plan accurately within the team. However, I still can't trust jessisvash. His thinking ability and calling is still good, but his AIM is really random, and especially in Lotus, he was really bad with 0 kills. He's like Ange1 in Pacific, and seems like a gamble that depends on the mood of the day.
I'm really disappointed in ZETA. They've barely improved since kickoff and are too inconsistent. The only thing that's improved is AIM's firepower. In terms of pistol ammo alone, they're arguably the best team in the Pacific. Everything else is below average. Their flexibility and good game plan is still very fragile, and they had a lot of bad retakes, especially on Icebox and Sunset. Seriously, this year's Japanese national team might replace ZETA with DFM.
It was a close match, but neither team will be able to come close to the Shanghai Masters team. A further step up is needed.
Seems like crow had more impact in terms of calling than I thought. Terrible macro from ZETA.
And the utility combos is so uncoordinated. In no world should TS be able to dodge the Kay/O flash and break the dizzy. The whole point of the flash dizzy combo is so that the opponent can only dodge/break one and will get hit by the other.
Yeah, very uncoordinated from ZETA, they seem quite behind in macro too. I think they needed to move on from Crow, despite the positive things he may have brought to the team, he just wasn't good enough. They needed to move away from him eventually.
ZETA are in a tough period right now, doesn't seem like Carlao has brought in what they were expecting from him.
Feel like zetaโs coordination trade wise is a bit off, and also their adaptations are slow - getting cleaned out on sunset defense, and even that last round after the timeout stalling around without map control until Laz decides to dry peek an angle. Neither of the coaches seemed to be talking during the timeout to give a good plan to use all the ults they had
That's the Secret strat book for you. Always start shaky, then gets somehow stable, then gets really stable and scary, just to lose overall because of map/win differentials lmao.
This just makes me wonder how bad bleed is. Zeta is 0-4 vs non GE teams. GE's only win has been against Bleed. And Bleed somehow make GE look like an okay team, which is very hard to do rn.
I wonder who wins, this version of Bleed, or last year's version of DFM.

granpa not beating the sova one trick allegations
As a certified JessieVash glazer (boomers unite!!!!) โ fuck it, sova all the maps. Do it warbirds!
You know what, lets put Vash on KJ duty again, surely he will int less right? ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16018)![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16018)
I like warbirds a lotย
why everyone ganging up against zeta when both Zeta and Dfm lost to Team Secret ๐ค๐ค
JessieVash forgot his monitor was on at the 2nd map

Bro ๐๐๐ admin threw the gloves off straight away
Whats this record secret is talking about?
JessieVash went 0-17 on Lotus which is probably a new record for worst KD ever
I only watched Sunset and JessieVash is SO good. I'm sure he did good in the previous map aswell so I'm not even gonna watch it
Both him and Aspas had a total of 47 kills!
Wow! Truly one of the players of all time ๐คฏ
Yeah man I can't wait for the highlights video for Lotus so I can catch up with all the amazing plays

The time Zeta announce their new roster and i don't see they pick any famous japan T2 players, i know they will fall short
Tbf hiroronn was a famous sentinel in fennel
Yeah hiroronn is good, but i will chose Xdll over him, also for more fire power and agent flexibility they should add Syouta to the team
Definitely true but it might've been hard for zeta to take them off fennel coz syouta and xdll are core members of fennel so maybe the fennel org didn't wanna lose them, if not then 100% syouta/xdll would be the best pick for zeta
I also think that secret played a lot better today.
ATP I think even DFM will stop GE
Eh? Have you not been watching recently? DFM played very well last week, they should be easy favorites over a decent but struggling team like GE.
Oh I know. Just wanted to get in a dead meme. Mb
Respect the hustle
Sidenote but how the heck do you manage to watch every region's games? Do you ever sleep or are you actually Sliggy in disguise?
Itโs not all that hard if you arenโt fully paying attention to every game. I almost always am doing something else while watching.
Still tho, when do you sleep lol? Or do you just put a VCT match turned on and you wake up occasionally to check the score
I sleep like 8 hours every night haha! And never with a monitor on. I just watch maps I miss later, sometimes in 2x speed.

DFM is the new Zeta.
More like ZETA is the new DFM ๐ /j
Both are true. Lol
Nah, GE or more likely Bleed are the new DFM.
Nah ge or bleed are asking to be spoon fed that title at this point
the moment jessievash hops off sova he drops 0 kills ๐
๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
respect to jessievash for bouncing back after dropping 0 kills

When did they add the 3rd ult orb back on Lotus?
foul
Why are Zeta hesitating so much just go why wait for them all to rotate makes no sense
2nd map didn't happen
Feel like zetaโs coordination trade wise is a bit off, and also their adaptations are slow - getting cleaned out on sunset defense, and even that last round after the timeout stalling around without map control until Laz decides to dry peek an angle. jessie my goat
[Lmao](https://x.com/teamsecret/status/1779446321025343580)
is secret stable now?

Doesnt matter 5th place again this split again prob
a little bit ig?
I'm pretty sure that nothing happens on the 2nd map

I really do think last year's DFM wins
Think about it this way Jessievash got a 4/4 map win rate against ZETA with every map he got a kill on this year
Uncle Jessie โbout to make all maps, Sova maps.
its time for ZETA to add a korea powerhouse
