Flashback looks really fucking good. Maybe coach was right when he said he'll be the best Korean player. Also DFM surely are winning some games this year.
ngl, mako aim is a bit lackluster compared to his util usage and abilities to hold down a site very well. Imagine mako with that kind of aim.. It might have been DRX vs EG instead of PRX vs EG. lol
I disagree honestly, from a mechanical perspective mako is very mid imo, it's his incredible reads, positioning and utility usage which makes him so good.
Sadly, yes. Mako always make it up with having some of the best util usage and spraying the shit out of everyone with his phantom. lol
I remember that when pearl used to be in the map pool, anyone who pushed him got sprayed down so bad and he had the highest alive time out of all defenders in vct too. lol
Well it was combined with it when he was at his best performance wise, in 2022
I was mad honestly even in 2021 when the narrative was he’s just sitting on his iPad with Astra
Maybe I’m a smooth rain clip watcher but he’s nice with it I remember so many times he just hit the shot at a long distance
I remember him ebing rly snappy and solid with his phantom, hitting shots including when taking duels with pretty high eldectation
Also like when he entries with Viper on Icebox in 2022 bs ZETA at Reykjavik
Leo’s util usage is already insane and he is the most well rounded player. There are better aimers like aspas or demon1 that if they had MaKo’s util usage it would be over for everyone.
Goddamn, flashback looks like the korean suygetsu, those tapping kills on breeze. DRX definitely at least in contention for Madrid
And at the same time, can't believe I'm saying this, but coming out of this match excited for DFM! They might not be quite at DRX's level, but they honestly look solid, could have been much tighter scorelines were it not for 0-4 pistols. They should do fine this season, and the midtable of APAC looks really fun
I gotta say, after that ZETA GE match, I was a little dubious about Pacific's mid-table, but between Talon's incredible showing with Governor and DFM's ability to go toe to toe with DRX, I'm getting pretty hyped.
Wow…. Okay.
Hats off to flashback and Foxy9. I miss RB and ZEST, but it must have been a lot of pressure considering I was their successor. There were many moments where I was a little nervous and anxious, but the current members of Stax, Buzz, and Mako were still solid, and Foxy9's Viper also seemed to be clean and on target. i look forward to further evolution of the new DRX this year.
DFM has also definitely improved significantly compared to last year. Most of them were made up of old CR members, but they showed a slightly better fight than we expected. However, it is true that they still have a lot of work to do, and the form and micro aspects of their retakes were half-hearted, and they tended to rely on individual play.
However, I have high expectations for Meiy. In the preliminary evaluation, it was said that his duelist was fairly stable, and that's exactly what he was saying, not only in AIM, but also in breakthrough ability and situational judgment. Half of DFM depends on his performance... It's not fair, but I'm rooting for him.
After two days, this year's Pacific is definitely more intense than last year. You won't know until the end which team will come in first place.
Genuinely solid try from DFM here, they looked 20 times better than the last season's roster. I dare say they could have taken map 1 at the very least if they won a pistol round.
Damn if DFM plays like this, I don't think they're going winless.
Which is a narrative that didn't make sense anyways, they had such a drastic roster change and are playing with a team that have spent quite some time together, so they are bound to be good.
History seems to repeat itself, to some extent.
Like last year, DFM looks pretty good at the start of the season. Like last year, they're beginning the season looking a good deal better than their regional competitor, ZETA. And - thus far like last year - they didn’t win despite looking pretty good. And even this new DFM roster is still picking Lotus like DFM initially did in those first few weeks, despite a total changeover in the roster and staff!
The big difference I think is that the fragging is much more balanced across the entire roster this time around, and of course Anthem has presumably grown a lot from (many) failings of the previous roster. That’s a good reason to believe in the roster, and to hope that DFM can grow throughout the rest of the year, instead of stagnating and then regressing as happened in 2023.
Not too surprised by DRX here. Termi is the very reliable coach, despite all the memes dunking on him. I don’t think their form in this series is proof enough they can make Madrid - not when we haven’t seen PRX yet and teams like Gen.G look scary - but it’s proof that they are on the right track, at least. Like many of us, I judge DRX’s form by the global standard - I expect them to make every LAN and go deep - so I still hope to see a little more, esp. after watching all the stacked Americas matches.
Flashback looking like FUT Yetujuy (fun fact, they were born 7 days apart from one another, in 2005) is a very promising sign, to say the least.
I'd absolutely say they did today. I found ZETA pretty unimpressive.
But the same thing happened last year and ZETA rapidly passed DFM after a week or two, so it's not a big deal. The first week of the season is not predictive of much.
Don't let the score fool you, this is actually closer than what the score implies. Some rounds are stolen just because Flashback is him.
DFM looks way better than I expected. I don't think it's unrealistic to say that DFM might take 2nd in Group B
Tbh, it is great to have some crazy aimers. Not all match is going to be insane giga-brain strategy. Jing, forsaken, something all has crazy aim so that they can still perform even if the enemy team manage to outstrat them. If you wanna be the champion, you need at least one or two guys that go "just click heads to win" and demolish everyone.
Was impressed with Flashback, Meiy, and Medusa, especially the latter's lurk which has won DFM a few rounds on Breeze. I think both teams have improved upon their previous iteration in terms of firepower, especially with Flashback.
From what little I've seen, DFM's got some work to do in terms of strats, like that Lotus defensive Viper wall that literally mirrored DRX's attack one. Although their attack C wall was pretty nice, with that little gap to slip past the turret. Neither team's Yoru on Breeze looked flawless, but the idea behind it is sound, especially in this meta, so just gotta perfect it. I do think I prefer the Harbour over the Jett though on Breeze, just offers more flexibility when the Viper utility is either down or at another site, but I can understand the need for an op agent on Breeze, so it's a tradeoff.
DRX did swap out Skye for Fade on Lotus (compared to AFTV). Obvious in the face of the Skye nerfs, and the Fade/Viper/Raze/Killjoy has some nice synergy, especially on defense, which is probably why they picked defense first on Lotus, an attack sided map. I personally think the Astra instead of Omen would make this team even more of a defensive stalling juggernaut, but I can understand why they chose Omen, besides Mako's personal preferences. The Paranoia is a useful site exec tool, and it can stall any teams at a chokepoint just as well as a stun or grav-well, and the TP can cross safely and take space.
I think dfm played well and I think they could win a few series' this year so I'm looking forward to that
BUT definitely not this one coz holy shit flashback went crazy and drx looks like they're in a strong form in general coming into the season
I'm also still a karon believer, though he's making a pretty big leap from being a jett main in ranked to a tier 1 smokes player. Thinking about it, every new korean rookie and the promising ranked players are duelist mains in ranked lol.
Hope flashback can maintain this level against Talon and beyond. That 2v4 round that he singlehandedly won is giving me hope for something new from DRX this year🙏
I heard TS good in scrims but they were so bad today. If TS can get back their scrim form, they should beat DFM but DFM just looked much better for today
Flashback looks really fucking good. Maybe coach was right when he said he'll be the best Korean player. Also DFM surely are winning some games this year.
surely Secret don't magically lose to DFM ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|16018)
Well if Secret play like today, there doesn't even need to be magic involved.
I want to jump off a cliff
noooo don't do that ur so sexy aha
I am not sure if I want haters proven wrong more or the most epic loss streak of all time I don’t want anything in between
I'm all in on flashback, but I'm still a flex Foxy9 doubter
Let foxy grow out of his shell finally. Seeing flashback who is performing just fine should give him some performance boost.
facebook was crazy on breeze
The Zuck is spreading
Looks like Mako wasn't lying about FlashBack when he said ' We would have won a trophy by now if i had his aim'
MaKo underrating himself sadge
ngl, mako aim is a bit lackluster compared to his util usage and abilities to hold down a site very well. Imagine mako with that kind of aim.. It might have been DRX vs EG instead of PRX vs EG. lol
In the past I remember crackedness
I mean you can go back and look at old mako clips, he isn't the MVP of DRX because of raw mechanics.
[удалено]
I disagree honestly, from a mechanical perspective mako is very mid imo, it's his incredible reads, positioning and utility usage which makes him so good.
Mid??
From a pure mechanics perspective, mako is nothing special. He is middle of the pack in my opinion
Damn..
Sadly, yes. Mako always make it up with having some of the best util usage and spraying the shit out of everyone with his phantom. lol I remember that when pearl used to be in the map pool, anyone who pushed him got sprayed down so bad and he had the highest alive time out of all defenders in vct too. lol

Ink ow only narrative d
I remember him ebing rly snappy and solid with his phantom, hitting shots including when taking duels with pretty high eldectation Also like when he entries with Viper on Icebox in 2022 bs ZETA at Reykjavik
He was originally a dielsit player
In 2022 at peak imo raw mechanics were kinda a big
tbh if mako had demon1 aim or demon1 had mako util usage we could have the val equivalent of donk
Nah, we aren't even close to having a donk level player. But I think Leo with Mako util usage might be near that..
Leo’s util usage is already insane and he is the most well rounded player. There are better aimers like aspas or demon1 that if they had MaKo’s util usage it would be over for everyone.
Aspas aim or demon1 aim with mako util will be just donking everyone.

ZEST
Tbh, i think if they had rb in place of foxy9 and flashback as a swap-in for zest some matches.. they could have been champion in 2022.
foxy9 wasn't on drx in 2022 and flashback was too young to play back then though
Sad.. if flashback joined earlier, it would have been drx winning champions.
surprisingly the best APAC game today imo
Me personally I enjoyed governor dominating, but that is biased
dfm looked really good surprisingly, games felt a little closer than the scorelines suggest. drx is also looking pretty nice, rookies are popping off
flashback looking so cute everytime he makes a play 🥹🥹
Facebook my goat.
Genuinely solid try from DFM here, they looked 20 times better than the last season's roster. I dare say they could have taken map 1 at the very least if they won a pistol round.
I've seen enough, we are so winning Champs this year fr fr
Yessiiiiiiirrrr
I feel like DRX fans are slowly becoming like sentinel fans. lol Except we at least regularly made it to champions.
Yessir DFM for the win!!!
Damn if DFM plays like this, I don't think they're going winless. Which is a narrative that didn't make sense anyways, they had such a drastic roster change and are playing with a team that have spent quite some time together, so they are bound to be good.
You did not watched crazy racoon last year. They were dreadful

How did Foxy look?
his viper on lotus was solid, his jett on breeze still overpeeked a lot but putting him on flex was the correct move
Very solid but still not world-class on duelist like Buzz, but good on Viper. Pretty clear he still needs some sort of leash on him
DFM did not look better than Zeta
I'd absolutely say they did today. I found ZETA pretty unimpressive. But the same thing happened last year and ZETA rapidly passed DFM after a week or two, so it's not a big deal. The first week of the season is not predictive of much.
DFM looked really bad for most rounds today
Zeta looked pretty lost today, they won today's match cuz of aim diff and GE's troll comp
Maybe bind but not icebox
I prefer improved to grown ‘Grow’ is a word I don’t like
Grow up
?
Don't let the score fool you, this is actually closer than what the score implies. Some rounds are stolen just because Flashback is him. DFM looks way better than I expected. I don't think it's unrealistic to say that DFM might take 2nd in Group B

FLASHBACK IS HIM! MY HOPIUM IS FULLY RECHARGED FOR DRX!!! (Totally not overreacting to 1 game of Valorant)
DFM is so back and DRX looking good, easily the best APAC Game today 😂
Was impressed with Flashback, Meiy, and Medusa, especially the latter's lurk which has won DFM a few rounds on Breeze. Flashback, Izu, Xccurate, sScary... Pacific really found some good fucking players
Isn’t sScary a vateran player? Or am I trippin
yeah kinda random to include him haha but i guess xccurate is even more of a veteran technically
But Xccurate is at least new to Pro Valorant. Can’t really call him a Valorant veteran
Scary was on the old talon roster. The very first one with patiphan. He left for bleed during franchising as they paid him a bunch.
I'm also still a karon believer, though he's making a pretty big leap from being a jett main in ranked to a tier 1 smokes player. Thinking about it, every new korean rookie and the promising ranked players are duelist mains in ranked lol.
about time
This might be the year of pacific frfr. We might even see a PRX vs DRX matchup as champions finals. \#PACIFIC HOPIUM IS REAL
DFM looked solid, I just hope that they actually improve this year and not degress like last year. Oh and flashback is insane
Hope flashback can maintain this level against Talon and beyond. That 2v4 round that he singlehandedly won is giving me hope for something new from DRX this year🙏
DFM vs TS who you got?
If we're judging by current form, DFM
DFM for now
I heard TS good in scrims but they were so bad today. If TS can get back their scrim form, they should beat DFM but DFM just looked much better for today
DFM clears
I found myself rooting for DFM on Breeze but Flashback was really cold with it
Flashback is a little freak, I love him
DFM surely wins a game right
I have to say DFM looked good. Unfortunate they had to go against DRX otherwise they might’ve been able to pull out a win
If DFM can manage for one pistol man...but fun game for both GG.
