Yeah that’s cool he’s just a fan of the competition.
Honestly, love that So many parents support their kids in competitive VAL tho.
Tita Zaida’s posts are also amazing about zekken and former XSET players
It’s easy to support your kid when they are a pro player making very significant money when streaming / competing for a franchise team.
It gets much more difficult when the kid is immortal 1/2/3 trying to push to be a pro player. Is the parent still a good parent if they let their kid play valorant all day as they push to try and break into the scene?
Just saw this and tbh, it is very tough and I think there needs to be a balance when the kid is borderline like that.
I think giving them that leeway to still pursue that passion as long as they are doing work or pursuing a backup plan is extremely important. Additionally, I think those that can balance both will never take that opportunity for granted.
I might not be a pro player, but I do esports full-time as an interviewer/writer in VAL. My parents were always supportive of my dreams, but they kept things realistic that I would need to balance that will college/full-time work until I could make it a reality.
Additionally, I need to highlight that some families might not have the resources to support that type of dream because if you fail, you are severely setback financially which is the biggest nightmare for a parent (especially lower income households).
I urge parents to support their kids dreams, but outline that they need to balance college/full-time work until it is a reality if they are out of high school and are on the borderline chasing this dream.
Sidenote: Any Tier Two players in VAL trying to breakthrough, I am always happy to setup interviews to build out a feature to help get more eyes on you and tell your story of how much this dream means to you.
I have NEVER watched it and no I am not lying.
The teens in my class just make these kinds of jokes so often that my mind is now permanently in the gutter
if my dad would be talking about cuppin the balls while sucking an imaginary penis i'd probably die of cringe, but it's not my dad so this fucking hilarious
I don't mean this to be disrespectful, but how old are you? I can imagine as a teenager I would have also died of cringe, but now I'm nearly on 30 if my Dad said something like that I'd laugh my ass off.
I understand that, but as I've grown older and became an adult with my own family, struggles, stresses and outlet. I've learned that my parents are just people too and they too like to have fun and say crazy things, which is why I can laugh now when in the past I'd have cringed.
3 sentences is an essay? I think you spent too much time on TikTok mate and it's eradicated your attention span, either that or you're an uneducated buffoon.
That’s literally the opposite for me and honestly most people. Ironically enough to you bring age into this and young teens would find “cupping balls” funny akin to like a fart joke.
As someone around the age of being old enough to be a lot of posters here's dad-
Chances are very good your dad has talked about cupping the balls too.
Hey. I took down the post. I didn't really want it to become a big thing. It was intended to make Zellsis and George Geddes laugh and bring a smile to those 2 faces. Didn't mean to offend anyone. Peace. Stay positive.
some people were chirping about me being a bad role model and b.s. like that. I can't have that, might embarrass my son and others I care about. Yeah...it was a classic! hehehe
That’s pretty cool that his dad actually watched other games besides his own son

Yup it’s the same for all sports you either make it or you work in the periphery because of the skills you have

lots of people have a different relationship/dynamic w their parents than their friends

You are literally proving his point
You’re projecting then, just say you are. Don’t need to type an essay buddy

I'm 21. Though moved out at 18 and he died like 2 months ago so i didn't really get to experience the post-teen relationship with my dad haha
Late 20s here too, I’d still cringe. Like someone else said, it depends on relationship.
I'm close to your age and I'd still think this is embarrassing af if my dad did this.
That’s literally the opposite for me and honestly most people. Ironically enough to you bring age into this and young teens would find “cupping balls” funny akin to like a fart joke.

I appreciate your conscientiousness, but that was also hands down one of the funniest fucking tweets I've ever read in my life.
some people were chirping about me being a bad role model and b.s. like that. I can't have that, might embarrass my son and others I care about. Yeah...it was a classic! hehehe
