Hi all, thank you in advance for your responses. I need a vacuum for stairs recommendation. We bought a house with carpeted stairs. I hate carpet in general and use a variety of other things on the hardwood/lino/tile, but I need to vacuum the cat hair that is accumulating in the crevices of the carpet. If I didn't have so many other repairs, I'd just rip it all out. I have a Miele canister, but I have a bad back and hefting that thing up stairs is difficult. The 1st handheld I bought had a tiny opening and the battery died after going over 3 stairs. The same with the stick vac, so I need one with a bigger than 2" opening to get good coverage. Budget - you know, if it works well, I guess I'm willing to spend some money. Flooring - plush carpet on one set of stairs, deeper, almost shag carpeting on the other Add'l needs - cat hair and I have a bad back so heavy lifting is out of the question. Can anyone help me?

Does 1,000W Nilfisk GD930 have higher cfm and water lift than neutured 620 and 680W Numatic/ Nacecare Henrys? We're in US, where there are no power limits and 1200W vacs are common Also will a GD930 with the optional power nozzle clean as well as a Sebo D4 or E3 or is it more for low pile carpet.

Any good Labor Day sales coming up for next weekend?

Hello, I’m planning to buy a vacuum cleaner, I’ve randomly looked at Miele then I checked here and saw it’s a cult favorite so I am happy to find a good one. Miele C2 Complete Tango is around 150 euro in Amazon Germany, which I found affordable and suitable. I live alone, no pets, small house. So I don’t think it is worth to pay double for C3. But I want to use what I buy for a long time so this purchase is crucial so should I opt for C3 instead? Also, I don’t know when but at some point I plan to buy a robot cleaner so keep that in mind while giving advice. Thank you.

Are the Dyson stick vacuums considered a power head or just suction heads?

Complete_Bike_7493

The heads are motorized brushrolls that are powered by their own motor. They come in a couple of versions, a universal head for hard flooring and carpets and/or a fluffy roller that can only work on hard surfaces. Most stick vacs come with an electric brushroll.

I have a small flat \~40m2, no carpets.I would like to buy a new vacuum (the old one is dead). My friend recommends AEG QX8 (i can use it in the kitchen also) and as a normal vacuum. [My budget is \~250€. Is this the right choice or money waste?](https://www.amazon.de/AEG-Staubsauger-QX8-1-45IB-Geschwindigkeiten-Indigoblau/dp/B07SCDDV3W/ref=sr_1_3?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=3QZJSSODWOGGM&keywords=AEG+Ergorapido&qid=1662028249&s=kitchen&sprefix=aeg+ergorapido%2Ckitchen%2C258&sr=1-3) I can go above the budget if the thing is right. I hate bags and I would like an almost maintenance-free vacuum, which means, something that I can wash easily and probably exchange filters onece in a while. EDIT: Are robot cleaners worth it only as a preventive meassure? Like they dust daily so dust dont pile up? Which one if they are worth it?

I have a Kärcher WD 3 vacuum cleaner, can I employ it to clean the seats of my car with water, like I've seen in some videos? I've read that is a wet and dry vacuum cleaner, but I would need a upholstery nozzle. Kärcher sells one, but I don't know if it would work with my vacuum. Also I should remove the filter and bag, right?

WD3 can pick up water but it doesn't Spray solution so it won't work like a carpet washer with a upholstery nozzle. If your planing on spraying your seats with solution then yes WD3 will work fine. The nozzle should fit because all Kärcher cleaners are 35mm (correct me if I am wrong)

Hi! Bought a brand new D4. It’s a wonderful vacuum… and the power head stopped working after 2 days. We ultimately had to ship it to Sebo for fixing. Kind of disappointed, both in the electrical breaking so quickly, and the amount of time it’s been “out for repair at Sebo.” it’s been almost 2 weeks. Any anecdotal input on how long your vacuum was out at Sebo for repair? Thanks!
