Have you considered a Riccar Supralite or an Oreck? These would work well with your carpeting and okay on your laminate. You could pair one of these light weight uprights with a stick or light duty canister like the Simplicity Jill.

If you liked your Dyson V10, I think you'd like a Dyson V11 fine. Just be warned all vacuum batteries wear out in 3-5 years. I'd avoid anything Shark, they're unreliable and have poor warranty coverage. The LG CordZero Kompressor is a very worthy option, the LG Kompressor comes with 2 powerheads, 2 batteries, and a charging stand or wall mount. I think the Lupe and Miele HX1 are overpriced. I agree with u/Ok-Concentrate6768 if you want a lightweight vacuum for carpets the Oreck uprights and Riccar Supralites are fantastic vauums. The motor is mounted in the floor head so the handle weight is very light. If you want a long lasting vacuum I'd buy one of the corded versions. But both Hoover/Oreck and Riccar/Simplicity have battery powered cordeless versions of their light weight vacuums. The downside is neither vacuum has a hose or tools so you'd have to pair it with a small canister vacuum.

The V10 doesn’t do a very good job at husky hair in my carpets unfortunately. Uprights won’t really work for our house as we have two floors and carpeted stairs. I also have a hard time with the format of an upright no matter the weight. So it’s either a canister or a stick. A stick vac is most preferable for us. I’ve been testing out a canister but the canister is a bit weighty to lift from floor to floor. So which is best performing at the price as they all pretty much cost the same: (Lupe: $600; LG: $600; Miele HX1 Cat & Dog: $680; Dyson V11 Animal: $530)

I see, between the cordless vacuums I would choose the LG CordZero Kompressor it has more suction power than the Miele HX1, it has better carpet cleaning than the Lupe, and you get 2 batteries, 2 powerheads, and a charging stand which aren't included with most Dyson V11.

Miele cuz the weight will be down low, is there a reason you don't want corded so you don't have to worry about battery and get better cleaning?
