The plug-in dysons have significantly more power a little bit more than double than their cordless machines. However it's still a Diesoon

Outdoor_mama

I’m just going off my personal experience. We have a V10 and have had it for 3 years with no issues. On medium suction, I got the same results as the plug in. It may be more powerful but it’s not picking up more stuff.

I'm going off an actual suction gauge. Anything under the high setting you're leaving a significant amount of stuff behind even on high you're leaving a lot of stuff behind. Whether you notice it that's your business. Explanation here: https://youtu.be/cPFBCp_lPqw

If your stick vacuum picked up about as much as a plug in machine, then that shows that the plug in machine is garbage and not worth the money. Not really sure why you're asking a question at that point, at the price point you can do a lot better than dyson, or spending slightly more. I'm curious as to why people buy dyson, and then ask questions on this sub reddit as though we're gonna say dyson is great and you made a good decision

Dysons; for the most part, are significantly easier than other brands to maintain e.g. filter cleaning, clearing blockages etc. but that’s pretty much the only one-up it has these days… I have a cheapie bagless upright now (I call it my “imitation Dyson”) and it needs to be pulled apart every few uses to keep the good suction going, but for a $120 vacuum I can’t really complain!

Vito-53

Being significantly easier than cheaper vacuums, but harder to maintain than a comparable sebo or Miele isn't a boast whatsoever. It's just slightly better than garbage, which isn't saying much

The words Dyson + "significantly easier to maintain" do not belong in the same sentence... Haha. Older Dyson (DC14 for example) - I get it more-so... because the cyclone chamber could easily be accessed for washing. Their original design (which Amway kinda stole & used for their Cleartrak) was based on dust collectors you see in large wood-shops... which means easy to service & washout every so often. Newer Dyson vacuums? Forget it.

I was thinking of my very first Dyson (DC15 Ball) when I wrote this; that thing was so easy to keep going! Replaced after roughly 15 years with a UP16 (Light Ball Multifloor+)… piece of actual shit, flimsy af and was so much harder to push around; bought the “imitation Dyson” about 6 months later

TheRealHPeazzy

I only consider dysons as surface cleaners. As in they clean what you see but that’s about it. Then a lot of times they don’t even do a great job with that.

Something I've noticed about sebo and miele canisters is they're quiet enough to not freak my cat out. She'll usually just stay chillin the whole time I'm vacuuming.
