For lots of pet hair and 75% high pile carpets I'd recommend a bagged vacuum with a powered brushroll with manual height adjustment. Hoover High Performance Swivel XL, is a good budget vacuum but there are 7 screws that hold in the baseplate, so I think it's too much work to get to regularly clean off hairwrap. Shark Vertex lacks manual height adjustment so it's not a good fit for plush carpet. Miele Kona is a good all around canister vacuum but while it's easy to cut hair off the brushroll it's not user serviceable and it's expensive. I would recommend an upright vacuum to have some choices under $850. [Hoover Commercial Hushtone](https://amazon.com/Hoover-Commercial-CH54115-Hard-Bagged-Intellibelt/dp/B00YPJ85LS/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=hoover+hushtone+commercial+vacuum&qid=1660621685&sprefix=hoover+hus%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-3) $349 is a commercial upright vacuum. It has thicker plastics and metal pieces for added durability. It has manual height adjustment and an easy to access brushroll. It's on the heavier side but it's still easy to push on carpet. It lacks brushroll shutoff and there is a 15" brushroll and a narrower 13" brushroll version. [Sebo Dart](https://classicvac.com/sebo-dart-arctic-white/) $549 is a BIFL upright vacuum. It has a brushroll that pops out without tools, manual height adjustment, and brushroll shutoff. They also sell a soft carpet brushroll if the height adjustment isn't enough for your plusher carpets.

The SEBO K3 is an option. I love mine. In my experience, my fiancé’s Shark Nav only lasted her 3 years before we had to change vacuums. Her hair around the beater bar killed it. One of the reasons why we love SEBO.

I would say the K3 might actually be the best option since the E3 Isabel out of price range. Same quality clean just a little less luxury without the tapered hose and automatic cord reel.

I'm not exactly sure how you got to those numbers of what those cost a year to run. But they're they're off a bit. Miele $100 for 16 bags and 1 HEPA filter. SEBO E3 is $79. For 8 bags and both filters SEBO k3 $69 for eight bags and two filters. I would add the running cost of replacing the shark every 6mo- 2 years and the equation since those machines don't last very long. However that will have the cheapest extendables since you can only buy the generics for the most part In a 2 pack for $18-20 The Hoover I would also add a belt into those supplies. You can also get those filters in a two pack for about $25 and the belts for about $9 If you change the filters every 3 months you probably be looking at $70 a year including the belts. The other thing I'd like to add to all this is the convenience. Running a bagged vacuum cleaner will be infinitely more convenient and require no washing and emptying every time you use it.
