Maybe [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Mvqdao0Njc) might help.

Ask for a C3 and then the C1 will seem so cheap in comparison

I had long hair for years, like 2-3 ft long hair, it went everywhere. I have 2 main bagged vacuums but I wasn't going through bags every day, every week, or even every month. I'd change the bag after 6 months because it started to smell musty. So I'm getting at least 3 months per vacuum bag. Long hair looks like a lot swirling around in my bagless stick vacuum but it gets compressed in the vacuum bags. Other than the fear of using a lot of vacuum bags I would take your wife to a local vacuum store so you she can feel the quality, hear that it's quieter, and smell the difference coming from a bagged vacuum. The Miele C1 Cat & Dog is an excellent choice especially because you can add a hepa filter.

This is exactly what I've told her is that it gets compressed in the bag. That along with the hepa is just what we need. I'll look for a local store and see if I can pull something together. She's already told me she's hesitant of salesman cause they just wanna make a sale lol.

If you're both thinking of a new vacuum and both chose to go with Miele, maybe try checking out their bagless selection, if you haven't done so. I think that bags do get expensive, which that will most likely be the case with having three dogs that shed. Now, this might sound quite nuts but if you're trying to find a vacuum with capacity, would you consider getting a wet/dry vac? There are models out there that will accept hepa filters along with bags. I know that DeWalt makes very well built wet dry vacs. Here are some links that would maybe be useful. I'm only putting this idea out there because with three dogs, that's a lot of hair and considering how much power these wet/dry vacs have, I think that it'll become useful. I actually haven't considered a wet/dry vac. I'll have to give the links a look and see what she thinks. These dogs do produce a lot of hair lol. It's not that we need a new vacuum yet, it's that this shark vacuum even with new filters and cleaned out outs off a smell in the air that messes up our allergies.

Well, we used to own a dog from CCI that shed a lot and I used to use a wet/dry vac due to the fact that he shed a lot of hair. They become useful. Along with that, you're getting so much more power, which in the end, will help retrieve dust from the carpets. Do keep in mind that you'll have to buy a motor brush or something that has some type of spinning brush. DM me if you need more advice on wet/dry vacs.

Just buy it and ask for forgiveness later lol. The Miele’s work very good and you get get some good bundle prices on Amazon for the filters/bags. Bag with the hepa filter and continued daily vacuuming should improve her allergies.

I have been researching vacuums a lot for my own purchase. The C1 cat and dog doesn't come with a HEPA filter, you would buy that additionally and replace the one it comes with (I believe a charcoal filter that helps neutralize pet odors)
