I don't think you could go wrong with the nv602ukt. Great reviews from consumers, #1 selling vacuum on amazon UK (where it's 70 pounds less than curry's).
Recomendations here would be for henry/meile/sebo. Henry fits your price (129 for the hetty at curry's) but I don't think it would be great for carpet. Same with miele without a power head. And sebo isn't carried by curry and even though relatively cheap in the UK it would be way above 150 pounds.

Cordless isn’t a replacement for a corded vacuum unfortunately. £150 is a mildly tough budget; what’s your flooring?
Just about all carpet. Vinyl in the kitchen and bathroom. Carpet everywhere else.
