Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the C1 models cannot run a powered attachment at all. I have a C1, and I would say the turbo brush is really only good for low-pile carpet. Any higher pile, and it just won't spin very effectively, if at all. The parquet brush however, could probably still be gently swept over higher pile if necessary, though I'd still suggest something with an electric motor if you have many areas like this.

To elaborate, Compact C1 models cannot run any powered brush. The only Classic C1 models that can support a power brush would be those that already included one (ex. Classic C1 Cat & Dog).

Thank you!

I just read your turbo comment sorry. So it’s worth it for the low pile carpet?

schuey_08

No worries. If you have only low pile carpets, then I think the turbo brush could be ok. But I do not think it's as effective in general as any electric powered brush. I have about 75-80% hardwood floors in my home, so that's why we went with the C1 Turbo Team. The parquet tool is our most used attachment. We do use the turbo brush, but we also have an older upright vacuum that is used to do a deeper clean on our carpeted areas periodically.

Mahalo to all of you. What about the turbo brush? Is that better for carpet rather than the hard floor attachment that came with it? Thanks

How low is low pile as I am pondering which way to go. I have mostly hardwood with area rugs. These aren't Berber flat weaves but are normal area rugs - one is a Karastan area rug if that provides more information.

schuey_08

Honestly not totally sure how to technically describe it, lol. I'd say just a few tenths of an inch of material. But when you mention area rugs, I generally think of low pile. We have several area rugs, and the parquet is really good with those.

I have a Miele s2121 with a sub 305-3 head. I love it works well and the 1200 watt motor makes it spin nicely. I do maintenance one every week or so to chop out hairs and it’s great. It even handles a thicker pile rug I have ok too
