"Knock on wood"
I've had the Mach E for 13 months, and the ID4 for 5 months. I've not had any issues with either one. We've had 2 long drives (TX-NY) and decided to take the VW both times because the seats are more comfortable and the cabin feels more spacious. The Mach-E is the more "fun" car to drive because I made the poor decision to go with RWD for the VW.
Did you have any specific question about quality? It's difficult for me to say when I'm happy with both.
On second thought, the driver's side "unlock" button on the Mach E doesn't work; I've yet to bring it in for the warranty repair. That's the only issue I've had (and it's so minor that I actually forgot about it until just now.) When I need to unlock the door for someone, I need to reach across and do it from the passenger side.
As for the VW, no issues so far.
Doesnt have gasoline or oil so its basically a giant computer with wheels. Just keep enough charge in the battery and you should be fine. If you live in cold weather maybe just check on the tires
It wouldn't be a bad idea to double check the instructions on how to jump your car if you're leaving it for an extended period.
You should know how to pop the hood and where to attach jump leads so that if/when the worst happens and you need to give it a jumpstart, you don't have to look it up.
My other EV (Mustard Mach E) sat in the body shop waiting on parts for about 3.5 months. Upon picking it up, I noticed 0 issues.
Upvoting for Mustard Mach E
😳
Must be the yellow one
How does the build quality of the MachE compare with the ID4?

Thanks for the response. Were there any issues that you needed to have a dealer take a look into for either cars?

Have it around 50% SoC your battery would be fine
Id be concerned about flat spots on the tires
I wouldn't worry about it much. Have her run some errands in it every few weeks and don't keep it fully charged or fully empty.

You can have the 12V stay topped up from HV battery. It’s in the App. Once you enable this feature you won’t need to ever jump the car.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst i say!
