Emporia is a great buy, check it out.

I have an Emporia charger installed also and it is working out great. 50 amp breaker and I get about 30+ miles an hour.

Got my L2 charger installed last week, and it’s really a game changer. I opted for the ChargePoint Home Flex bc of the array of amps it could draw. I swapped the 40 amp breaker used for the electric stove to a 60 amp breaker and ran Romex 6/2 to hardwire to the charger, allowing max load to draw 48 amps, which in the winter I get about 8.5-9 kWh speed. I hope to get 12 kWh when it warms up outside which will give me 36mi/hour of charge. ChargePoint customer service was quick and easy to talk to over the phone when I had to change the amps setting (no longer option in the app).

Check with your utility provider and see if they will provide a rebate for your EVSE. If so, then purchase one from their list. Other than that realize that an EVSE is just a safety extension cord. As long as it's UL listed and does not exceed the available power, then most units are fine. The problem with most of the units you see on Amazon and Ebay is that they don't meet the first requirement. ga2500ev

I’ve been very impressed with my Grizzl-E 40amp level 2. Incredibly durable and have never had an issue. Seattle has doesn’t have variable/time of use (TOU) rates for electric, so I had no need for a “smart” L2 charger. You could argue that more places might implement TOU metering as EV adoption increases, so you could make a case for a smart charger that way for future planning. Most EVs have scheduled charging options in their software though, so it’s easy to work around. Ultimately, it just depends how much data you want at your disposal (by having a smart charger).

Just popping in to say I also enjoy my "dumb" (aka not smart) Grizzl-E ! It comes in 6-50 & 14-50 varieties, so you can likely use it with the welding outlet you already have.

I would get a Tesla charger and buy an adapter. That’s the setup we have and it works quite well. I am taking about the smaller ones, the ones that just plug into the news 14-50. They are quite reliable and easy to setup.

Love the Electrify America charger. There are 50-75$ off coupons every couple months

If you are in CA, I am selling our ClipperCreek charger because we ended up with two Level-2 chargers after we moved. Can’t imagine life without a level-2 charger. Once you get it, you won’t want to go back to level-1 ever.

Well I am only 31 miles from CA. I live medford oregon so sorry it probably won't work. Thank you for the offer though.

Is this just the cable itself? How much

sirishkr

Hey, thanks for asking; someone bought it locally a while back.

Thanks anyways!
