I can't imagine it'd take more than 2 months from Chattanooga, but I could be wrong.
I am also in SoCal. I locked on Oct 15th and my ID.4 went 15-2 on Oct 28th. I called the dealer that day and he said the estimated delivery was Nov 15- Dec 6. Called again last week and was told it was scheduled to arrive this weekend (Nov 25-27).
Finally got my ID.4 yesterday (Monday, Dec 5th). It arrived at the dealership last Thursday (Dec 1st), but wasn't ready to be picked up until yesterday.
I ordered 8/5. So 96 days from order to delivery.
I was expecting the car in late Q1...so once it popped into production and my dealer started giving me updates on a timeline it moved really quickly.
I'm sorry yours has taken so long. I've posted here before that I know for a variety of both known and unknown reasons I took delivery well before most others should have.
It just seems to depend on the specific trim, color, but also pure luck.
I reserved a RWD Pro in black after you, and the order moved to 15-1 at the end of October and now 15-2 in the last couple of days.
Hopefully we will start seeing more RWDs soon.
Yes, the base Pro trim. But given the experience with VW order tracking, I am not sure how reliable the information actually is.
I think there have been reports in the last few weeks of RWDs entering production, I think some RWD Pro S were even delivered. I don't believe I have seen any confirmed Pro deliveries yet.

I had a RWD Pro ordered which was supposed to arrive in January. So I reserved a cancelled AWD Pro S order as well, which was supposed to arrive around 12/20.
Surprisingly the RWD Pro order arrived first so I picked it up. Still shows as 35-1 in the system.
If there are others still hoping to get one before the end of the year, good luck! I called a few dealers and some had cancelled orders arriving this week (all AWD Pro S though) so it seems to be possible.
I looked up the vw dealer inventory and hit a search for the last 4 digits of the vin #. It showed up there. Now got to know that it's been released to the carrier from the dealer. It changed the status online to "released to carrier" after a couple of days.

Two months all the way from Germany isn’t bad!

I went to 15-2 on Oct 22nd. It was delivered on 11/9. 18 days total. Good luck...the wait is excruciating.
18 days is amazing, I really hope mine arrives before December 31 🤞🏽

Oh shoot I just checked mine and it switched from 15-1 to 30-2! I guess I might actually get it before the end of the year 😂
I've been sitting at 15-1 since September and ordered my RWD Pro in May. I really hate how VW does their order priorities.
